Introduction: Lessons for those who want to learn other than just riding in an arena and spending a fortune showing. Horsemanship is so much more than ribbons! Enjoying trail rides, camping and economical friendly competitions all while improving riding skills, learning to understand and care for horses. At Devine Gaits Farm it's about your goals and our horses make it a comfortable journey because they are GAITED!! What is gaited? Gaited horses offer comfortable, smooth, gliding ride with no bounce gears between walk and canter instead of having to post or absorb the bounce of the typical trot horse in your body. Those "Ah-ha" moments when witnessing a student understand a skill or concept, the smile on their face and listening to them share their experience with other students, family and friends. Immensely rewarding to be a part of their journey to those moments. Never enjoy to see a student struggle with life BUT ... it is humbling to witness what the bond that happens between them and their favorite horse can do. The transformation between arriving stressed or full of tears and leaving comforted by their horse and often times even with a much more positive outlook on those issues they brought in with them.

Horseback Riding Lessons (for adults)

Very responsive and understanding. Definitely will be going. Had our first lesson today and it was both exciting and scary. Althea is a true professional. She recognized we were beginners and the lesson was geared toward that. She is terrific! She could even tell that my husband was left handed by the way his feet were in the stirrups! She is very patient, answers all our questions and is a very kind person. It is very obvious that this is more than a job for her. She really knows her stuff. She is the perfect instructor. I could not ask for a better fit. If you are on the fence about hiring her, I say YES - DEFINITELY! Can’t wait for our next lesson!

Horseback Riding Lessons (for adults)

I had a really great first experience with Devine Gaits Farm. It's been many years since I've been on a horse except for the occasional trail ride. All my questions were answered and I felt very comfortable with my evaluation and first ride. I am looking forward to my next lesson !

Horseback Riding Lessons (for adults)

Just getting started with lessons. Completed an extensive, informative and enjoyable orientation/evaluation this afternoon. Had a great time. Trainer is super easy to understand and made me feel comfortable. The horses look and act well cared for and with my first exposure to them very well trained. Looking forward to what I'll learn here. The communication with the farm thru Thumbtack made it very easy to gather the information I needed to select their service.

Horseback Riding Lessons (for adults)

I met with Thea and was extremely impressed with her knowledge of horses. I'm going to take lessons because she made me feel very comfortable, which is paramount to me. I'm down to earth and have a very good sense of humor and didn't want to work with any trainers that were too rigid. I can be myself and wasn't afraid to ask questions. Photos later!!!
