Introduction: Lessons with me are engaging, upbeat, positive, focused and FUN! I treat each student differently -- I create individual strategies and lesson plans for every student. I also conduct any necessary research between lessons to make sure I'm doing everything I can for the student. With academic tutoring, I'm also willing to communicate with classroom teachers to help support the child. In addition, I'm currently a doctoral-level student earning an Ed.S. (Education Specialist) and Ed.D. (doctorate) in Curriculum & Instruction. In addition to the other certifications and coursework that I have done, I am truly both educated and experienced to help students both academically and with piano/music lessons. For my music students, I have group classes and recitals on a regular basis. These are all included in the tuition. The only extra charges with me would be for any outside events or competitions that a student decides to do that are organized by a larger group that has a fee for participation, and any books or materials that the student needs. Tuition with me starts at $115 per month for 46, 30 minute lessons per year. I get to work with differently people every day, and be creative to help each student accomplish whatever we are working on. There is never a dull moment! I need to keep my brain working, and that's part of what I love about teaching -- I am constantly being challenged to figure out new things and solve problems for my students. It's the connection that I develop with every student that is so magical for me!
