I've been taking guitar lessons with Christian for about a month now and I can honestly say I'm really pleased with the experience. It's clear that Christian has a love and talent for music and has chosen to share it with others. I've tried to teach myself guitar on and off for 10 years and never got far. Now, a month in, I'm already starting to learn my first song. Christian is organized with planned lessons based on the level you're at and teaches you the tools you need in order to play and eventually even write - including music theory. He's patient, can explain things in a way that makes it easy to understand, and there's never any rush to learn a new step before you're ready which - as a student w/ two jobs - keeps lessons and practice fun and easier to stick with since I feel like I can take my time and learn at my own pace. If you're looking to learn guitar, definitely give Christian a call.
Have had a very positive experience with this music studio. I started guitar lessons last fall with Ian Harrah. I am a complete novice - could not be further from being "a natural" - and Ian has been so patient. The owner, Brad, has also been very easy to work with when scheduling my first visit and setting up payments, and he even called just to see how lessons were going. Definitely recommended!

Just awesome! Adam is a very good instructor who is very friendly, polite and kind. I was nervous about starting learning something new (in this case, it's a guitar lesson), Adam made the experience so relaxed and enjoyable!! His approach is very well structured and efficient. I love getting lessons from him!!!
Stu teaches my 8 year old daughter accoustic guitar. Even though she has a notoriously short attention span, Stu has managed to keep her interest for months now by providing interesting, age-appropriate lessons that work for her skill level. Knowledgable about guitar, music, and how to work with kids.
I wanted to learn to play the guitar for several years but was always concerned about finding the right instructor. But after taking lessons from John, I wish I had done so earlier as he has been great. John tailors the lessons to the type of music I want to learn to play and suggests good techniques to improve my ability to play the instrument. I was amazed at how well I was playing the guitar after just a few lessons. I would highly recommend him!
I've known Paul for over 20 years. I was his student for 3-4 years back in the early 2000's. I became friends with him through my classical guitar lessons & we have been close ever since. I fell in love with his philosophy for teaching. It is so different (and simple). He asked me what I want to play, then proceeded to take me to that goal on the quickest path possible. He did't tell me I have to do this or that; play scales; learn elementary stuff and then advance from there. He just said "what would you like to learn to do?" Paul's gift is not in teaching people music theory or an instrument... his real and obvious gift is in his ability to "teach people how to learn". Then he simply guides you on your path of study. Paul, without doubt, is "one of a kind"
Charley has given my teenager guitar lessons for almost 3 years. He started with no experience and is now playing both acoustic and electric guitars. Charley is flexible, really good with children/teens, and has a wealth of music knowledge.
Chris Whitney is a very knowledgeable and encouraging teacher and I highly recommend him to anybody wanting to study guitar in central Ohio. He has a wide-ranging musical vocabulary and is comfortable teaching various styles of music, such as jazz, classical, rock, folk, etc. As I continue my work as a professional classical guitarist, I often look back on my formative years spent with Chris so I can re-connect with the love and energy from those weekly lessons.
My kids have been taken guitar and violin lessons with Lilia, and they love it. She's very professional and friendly. She teaches the kids at the appropriate level and speed. I have truly enjoyed watching them learn their instruments without worrying about their comfort and safety.
I am a rock/cover lead guitarist, and I will show how to play your most favorite songs. Plus, I will make midi/MP3 tracks for you to practice along too. I will also show you scales and chord progressions. Once you think you are ready, you can play with the band, or even open for the band with your new group.
I teach basic chording and basic fingerpicking. If your child is ready to get going quick on guitar without theory and unnecessary steps, call me!

I am a current guitar, piano and voice teacher looking to expand my student list. I have been teaching for over a year, and I offer competitive rates among most studios. Rates will vary depending on distance I would have to travel to your home, or if you come to my home studio. I also accept students of all ages. Vocal specialties include rock, jazz, opera and classical.
I teach guitar to students of all ages and ability levels. As a former high-school teacher, I have experience working with different learning styles and abilities. I also cater my teaching to the desires of the student (and often the parents) when they have specific goals in mind. As more and more schools cut music programs, I have found it useful that I have extensive knowledge of music theory, as this allows me to expand beyond a typical guitar instruction and enrich the student's experience with something they might not get elsewhere.
I have been playing for 36 years and can teach anyone how to play.
