- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always enjoyed planning events, from small dinner parties to larger corporate events. I am naturally an organized person, and pay extra attention to each and every detail of an event. The reason that I pay close attention to such details is that I have my name associated with the event and if anything goes wrong, it's my name and reputation that gets negative press; and I don't want that under any circumstances.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs that I do for clients are weddings, corporate luncheons, and dinner parties.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Advice that I would give to customers looking to hire an event planner is to obtain professional references and actually call and speak to the references! Positive word of mouth is important for any business and customers ARE our business.
