Introduction: My clinical work is dedicated exclusively to the needs of children and adolescents, with a focus on optimizing their functioning in all areas.
I have extensive training and expertise in the subspecialty field of pediatric psychology, which focuses on the unique challenges that arise in development when there is the presence of physical symptoms or medical illness.
In addition, I specialize in the concerns of very early childhood or the first five years, as well as the management of more general emotional and behavioral difficulties.
I offer a range of services including consultation or evaluation, follow-up treatment, and formal psychological testing.
I often meet families after their child has failed to fit with another provider. It is difficult to have a child struggling, and even more so when efforts to find help are not helpful. I enjoy creating a different experience for kiddos and working together to improve daily functioning.
Many children are uncomfortable with the idea of working with a psychologist, and with sharing personal details and their concerns.
The feedback I routinely get is that their experience with me is different and so much better than they expected! That is my first goal, and then, we can begin.
