FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system I guess is complicated only because thumbtack makes it that way. Thumbtack has multiple listings in the junk category. Furniture or appliances are 2 different things. Appliances are made of metal and cost nothing to dispose of. Furniture cost me money to dispose of which in turn cost the customer. If thumbtack would ever split these categories up and made the potential customer give details about what they need done or hauled away it would much easier to give a customer a more accurate quote more quickly.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I just fell into it. Then I started expanding services and we still grow all the time. I have myself and 2 employees at this current time with others available on call.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
One of the most common things i do is haul junk away for people. Sometimes its scrap metal other times it really is junk. Ifs its metal is still good to me. If its wood, plastic, foam, furniture, etc its junk to me and i have no use for it but will galdly haul it away for a small fee/recycle it. I can even dispose of tires for a fee of $5 each.
