FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have pricing that competes pretty well with the local market and all prices are listed here on this site. Of course, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I do give discounts for long term boarding visits, in my home, and a multi pet discount for pets from the same home.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process for boarding or daycare in my home would be to first do a meet and greet. This allows you to see my home and for your pet or pets to get acquainted with where they will be staying. It's also a chance for your pet to meet my pets. For visits to your home, I would stop by beforehand to learn what you would need me to do and where things are located & also to get a key or code to enter your home. I do have forms for you to fill out and sign regarding your pet such as veterinarian information, an emergency contact feeding instructions, vaccine information and anything else you would like to add about your pet or anything special you would like me to do. I do require vaccines and flea/tick prevention when boarding or attending daycare in my home and I also require a copy from your vet. I also have a form stating whether or not I received the key from you or a code to enter your home. I do not stay in clients homes overnight but I am more than happy to stop in several times a day ( with in a 12mi radius from my home) for potty breaks, to give them love, playtime and companionship, feed, scoop litter boxes, administer meds and anything else necessary for their care. If requested I will bring in your mail, take out or bring in trash cans for garbage day or water your plants. I will always be sure that your home is securely locked up upon my departure each visit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an animal lover my entire life first and foremost. I was a veterinarian technician for 12 years and loved my job. I have also worked in Doggie Daycares, animal rescues, and at a grooming business. I decided about 10 years ago to make the switch the humans and I also work PT as a registered respiratory therapist at local hospitals.
