I was completely satisfied with Vanessa's services, she is extremely knowledgeable is her field of expertise and pays close attention to your specific needs! The Only thing I felt negative about was when she had to pack up and leave when the hour was up!!! She is very professional, sets up very quickly, and gives you all the instruction you need - in case you are a first-timer! I will Most definitely be booking her services again in the near future as well as referring her to others that may need her particular set of skills. If you are looking for a LMT with experience in deep-tissue and other various types of massage therapy, you would do quite well to call this wonderful lady!! Thank you Vanessa for making my week!! As an massage therapist myself, it can prove difficult to find a LMT with the right touch. Karen has a medical approach to massage with her background as a nurse.

Patty was very responsive. She also has discussed my needs with another professional to decide upon an approach for my therapy that will be effective and possibly more comfortable than what I've experienced in the past. I'm looking forward to my appointment.

Jennifer responded almost immediately to my inquiry of price and availability. She arrived on time and assessed her client before beginning massage therapy. The recipient (a family member...the massage was a gift) was extremely satisfied with the treatment! I will continue to use Jennifer’s services for her recent client, myself, and my immediate family. Receiving a massage at home is optimal considering the relaxed state experienced afterward! I would recommend this massage therapist to anyone!

My massage experience was highly satisfied. From setting the appointment, Therapist is a good listener, delivered the massage I asked for, comfort with draping for modesty, level of pressure/stretching used during the massage was ideal, massage started and ended on time, noise level during the massage could be adjusted a little quieter, room the massage was held in was relaxing and clean, overall professionalism of the therapist was first-rate. I would like to see if this Therapist learns total reflexology technique. If you are in pain, under stress or have muscle aches, I highly recommend a massage from this Therapist. Feeling much better!! =)

Nikki was amazing! This was my introduction to this type of holistic therapy - Chakra balancing and Reiki - and it was a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to go back. She’s great at what she does, responding to any questions, setting your appointment, and making you feel comfortable.

Sarah is an excellent physical therapist. I had been dealing with shoulder pain and limited mobility for several months when I decided I should finally seek treatment and am glad I was referred to Sarah. She was very welcoming and while evaluating my injury, she took time to get to know me and understand the activities that I wanted to get back to enjoying, like playing golf and strength training, which I had been unable to do because of my injury. Sarah was able to combine multiple therapy techniques such as Graston, dry needling and manual therapy during treatments which reduced the number of visits I needed to relieve my pain and get back to doing those activities more quickly. Sarah is kind and compassionate and you can tell that she really cares about the well being of her patients. I would not hesitate to recommend Sarah and VersaKinetic Therapy!

I am new to Reiki but I am now a convert! Most recently I had the pleasure of experiencing Reiki I training with Grace. Grace had encouraged me to attend so that I would be able to practice Reiki healing on myself. I have non-small cell lung cancer (EGFR positive) and am currently being treated with the chemotherapy drug, Tarceva which has numerous side effects including, among other things, diarrhea and rash. The rash is prickly and "hot" all over my body, thus very uncomfortable! I was amazed that right after my Reiki treatment those feelings were gone! I think this is a dramatic example of the power of Reiki!!I am convinced that Reiki will help minimize my chemo side effects, and, as I continue to practice self healing, I have found that my symptoms have continued to be minimal. I would highly recommend Grace's Reiki training. She creates a peaceful, soothing atmosphere using all the senses: sound, scent, sight, touch, and taste. I loved her presentation style; she was able to simplify complex concepts while presenting important information. I would also recommend her Reiki therapy. Grace has continually used her Reiki skills to help me heal - using both distance Reiki and "hands-on" Reiki. She's a very generous as well as a very skilled practitioner. -Laurie Geary, M.Ed., PCC (Professional Certified Coach)

Mohanna has helped me and my son several times with energy healing taping and removing negative entities. I live in Michigan and I could feel the love and warmth of the healing energy she channeled to us. I also can see the energy so I new it was the truth. I was very sick last winter probably should have went to hospital but refused to go there and get sicker so I called Mohanna she not only did total protocals for healing she spent extra time teaching and helping me get a better more positive prospective on reality. I think she is an amazing wonderful loving kind spirit. The only problem I had was I don't have texting on my phone so it was a little difficult back then to get a hold of her. I'm sure that if I really needed her she would have gotten a hold of me because I send the angels to get her. The other issue is I wish I could talk to her everyday I miss her sweet spirit! Yes I received total healing and haven't been sick yet a year later.

Tom's experience and range of treatment was clearly evident as I requested a deep tissue massage aimed more at sports recovery and performance while two of my family members that also received massages preferred a lighter relaxation massage. Tom was personable and professional and provided a clean, welcoming treatment space. I won't hesitate to recommend Tom and Versakinetic Therapy and plan to book my next session soon.

I have had severe back problems for over the last 25 years, because of this I have been to more Massage Therapists than I can honestly remember. Massage therapy has always helped me with my severe back pain from scoliosis, but out of all the professional massage therapists I have been to over the years, Danielle is by far the most knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and attentive masseuse I have ever had. She asks the right questions, and tailors the experience for you. Both me and my wife receive massages from Danielle and have different issues/needs that are always acknowledged. Always punctual and flexible with scheduling as well. I would recommend her every time!

They read the description I sent of my pain issues , got back to me quickly and set up an appointment quickly .That's what I was looking for ?

Relax, rejuvenate, and renew. I am a certified massage therapist. I do treatments in massage of Swedish relaxation and therapeutic needs met to relieve tight sore muscles. My pressure is firm, but not a deep tissue, sports massage. Experience relaxation in a calm environment, soothing music, candles, and feel great.

We will always invite you into our sanctuary with genuine understanding, warming smiles and positive energy. We are willing to do our best to help increase your aliveness of your mind, body and spirit. We are committed to doing our best to help relieve your stress. But always remember, you have to be open to listen to our treatment advice we give you. This healing process is a two-way street, not just one sided.

Naturally I am a very empathetic person. This allows me to tune into my clients on an almost spiritual level, giving me a holistic insight that many massage therapists lack.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is naturopathic medicine?

Naturopathic medicine is classified as an alternative healing method, but licensed naturopathic doctors share some of the same academic background as conventional medical doctors and can often prescribe some medications. According to the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), naturopathic medicine is holistic care that addresses a wide range of problems including (but not limited to) allergies, chronic pain, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, obesity, respiratory conditions, heart disease, fertility problems, menopause, adrenal fatigue, cancer, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Naturopathic medicine aims to strengthen and empower the body and its organs to heal itself through low-force interventions. Here are some examples of the type of medical services often provided by naturopathic doctors, as cited by the AANP:

    • Clinical and laboratory diagnostic testing
    • Nutritional medicine
    • Botanical medicine
    • Naturopathic physical medicine (including naturopathic manipulative therapy)
    • Hygiene
    • Counseling
    • Minor surgery
    • Homeopathy
    • Acupuncture
    • Intravenous and injection therapy
    • Naturopathic obstetrics (natural childbirth)

    Do naturopaths take insurance?

Many naturopathic doctors accept insurance, but a separate question is whether your insurance covers alternative and naturopathic services. There are several steps you can take to find out:

    • Verify whether you live in one of the 20 states that currently licenses naturopathic physicians:
      • Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont and Washington.
    • Confirm whether your insurance will cover naturopathic medical services. Read your insurance plan’s fine print, verify whether naturopathic doctors fall into your insurance carrier’s definition of a doctor, and confirm that the care you are receiving is considered medically necessary. Questions to ask your insurance provider could include:
      • Am I covered for this treatment by a naturopathic physician?
      • Do I need a referral?
      • Is there a list of approved naturopathic doctors in my network?
      • What will the co-pay be?
      • Are there limits to my naturopathic coverage?
    • Before seeking medical care, it’s key to understand the difference between a naturopathic doctor and a naturopath. Anyone may advertise themselves as a naturopath, while to be a licensed naturopathic doctor, a person must complete academic and clinical training.

    Can naturopathic doctors prescribe medication?

Licensed naturopathic doctors can prescribe some pharmaceutical medication. Naturopathic doctors complete academic training similar to that of conventional physicians: a bachelor’s degree with a focus on pre-med studies, followed by a four-year residential naturopathic medical program whose first two years have a similar foundation to that of a conventional medical school. After completing their studies, they must pass a post-doctoral exam. Although licensed naturopathic physicians are able to prescribe medication, they usually focus on prevention rather than treatment of symptoms. A naturopathic doctor will offer a holistic approach to your care that encompasses your mental, physical and emotional health. While they will prescribe medication as needed to treat illness, they are also likely to be creating shifts in your lifestyle and nutrition to effect deeper changes in your body’s response to illness.

How do you find a good naturopath?

It’s important not to get misled by the title “naturopath” when searching for a naturopathic doctor. A naturopathic doctor is a licensed professional, while anyone who so desires can call themselves a naturopath. A naturopathic doctor has completed eight years of schooling and is licensed to provide high-quality medical care. When searching for a naturopathic doctor, a good place to start is by researching your state’s licensing and regulatory body for that profession.

Currently, 20 U.S. states license the practice of naturopathic medicine. For those seeking holistic, body-centered healing solutions, a naturopathic doctor can be a good fit. They use natural medicines as well as treatments such as electrotherapy and ayurvedic medicine to encourage the body to heal. Once you have determined a list of naturopathic physicians who are licensed in your state, look for reviews, ask for referrals, and interview the physician in person or by phone to find the right care provider for your health needs.

How long do naturopathic doctors go to school?

Like conventional physicians, naturopathic doctors undergo rigorous academic and clinical training prior to practice. Typically naturopathic doctors go to school for eight years. There are currently 20 states in the U.S. that provide licensing for naturopathic doctors. According to the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, a naturopathic doctor must complete a bachelor’s degree and an accredited four-year residential naturopathic medical program, and pass an extensive postdoctoral board examination, the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examinations (NPLEX), in order to receive a license or registration to practice medicine.

The first two years of the residential naturopathic medical program cover many of the same areas of study as conventional medical schools. Naturopathic doctors provide primary patient holistic care. The goal of naturopathic medicine is preventative care and a focus on low force intervention healing methods. This can include natural medicines, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, homeopathy and much more. Naturopathic doctors often work in tandem with conventional medical doctors, as the two practices complement one another.
