I trained with Allison throughout college and through the beginning of her yoga teacher training. She always showed dedication, compassion and understanding by asking questions throughout the session and making sure we were working toward my fitness goal. I have known Kelsie for about the past 5 years but not in the context of being my yoga teacher. All I can say is wow, she went above and beyond the call of the yoga teacher who tells and explains poses and maybe says an inspirational quote. I am a certified RYT 200-hour level yoga instructor. I am certified to teach hot vinyasa, slow burn vinyasa, and ashtanga vinyasa yoga.
I have also taught yin/restorative yoga. I cue students through the flow and allow them to move at their own pace. I also assist them in poses to allow them to feel the pose in a different/deeper sense. I am willing to help all levels of yogis, from beginners to well-experienced yogis.
I am equipped with unique combination of skills that includes extensive yoga practice learned from different yoga schools. My teaching is highly integrative and allows my students to find their personal yoga style. I help them to develop their self awareness and practice yoga safe yet very effective way. In addition I practice Thai Yoga massage that combines the best of Yoga and the ancient art of reflexology. During my individually tailored massage sessions I also put in energy of Reiki of which I am a profound master.
Each client gets a personal program that prevents everybody from injuries and let anyone to discover the most efficient way to support their wellness by yoga. My yoga sessions are therapeutic and provide variety of exercises for body and mind as well as additional recommendations for a diet and self care based on Aurveda (ancient Indian health care). Each class ends with deep guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra) that has highly restorative and harmonizing effect.
Group and individual yoga instruction is offered in a beautiful, gallery-like location in Akron's Highland Square neighborhood.
This is a slow but deep hatha yoga flow, emphasizing breath and offering a rich kundalini-conscious experience for practitioners at all levels.
