AR restorations did a wonderful job. They were on time and addressed all my concerns. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.Oct 7, 2017Verified
I wanted to remove a double window in our master bedroom and put in a sliding door for easy access to a newly purchased hot tub. I obtained other quotes that were way high or they didn't want to fool with it. Andy came right out and gave me a fair estimate and started my project right away. Andy was there when he said he would be and finished the job ahead of time. Andy is great to work with and is my new projects manager!Apr 18, 2017Verified
Andy did a great job on my basement laminate. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and had good attention to detail. I am enjoying my new floors.Feb 26, 2017Verified
Unfortunately this rating is based on Andy's lack of customer skills, and not his work. We didn't reach a point to see his capability, because he no-showed our first appointment. More than 24 hours later, and I have yet to hear from him. We are undergoing a complete kitchen remodel, including wall demo, new cabinetry, etc, and having Andy refinish the flooring was a big part of our project. Now our entire project is held up because of him. When doing a large remodel, it is important to stick to a timeline, but Andy ruined ours. It is contractors like him that give Thumbtack a bad rep. Please see the imagery below showing I responded to your message. You probably shouldn't try to confirm an appointment with a future client 9 PM the DAY BEFORE THE PROJECT is to be started, but I did respond at 7:35 AM the following morning. Let's be clear, your message was not asking for a confirmation. I still gave you a chance, and asked if you were coming, 28 minutes after you said you would show up. I planned my Saturday morning around you, and you did not show up, of course I went with someone else. Stop placing the blame on others and accept your faults. Seems this happens often. Also, instead of responding to your poor ratings to try and make yourself "look good," a personal message to the customer you disappointed would be better.Mar 20, 2017VerifiedTimothy S.'s reply
i asked about the previous product used at 9:35 am, when no response by 4 pm I sent a message asking to confirm our appointment for the following day. on thumbtack I get multiple cancellations by me showing up to perform the work and nobody answers the door, with you being located 40 minutes away from me I was not loading tools and driving all the way out there without a confirmation. the next message I received from you was telling me not to come because you would be having someone else perform the work. maybe an issue with thumbtack messaging. I originally gave you my phone number which you never called once. I don't need to make myself look good, my work does that for me.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We offer a 10% military/veterans discount on all labor charges!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have just over 20 years of construction experience.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?My father started a roofing repair business in the 80s and as I got older it turned into a remodeling business. When I started working for him at the age of 11 I just knew I wanted to own a residential construction company right then.
