Edit: Thanks for responding! I realize now that the miscommunication was due to no fault of Fighting Chance Moving and have updated my review accordingly. I wish that Thumbtack had made it more clear how communication works after a job has been completed. The movers did a great job during a cold and windy day. One mover wasn't able to make it, so I was charged a lower rate to compensate, and I think they completed everything in a reasonable amount of time. They also did an excellent job wrapping and protecting furniture. Because of the high winds, a storm door at the property I was moving out of was blown off the hinges and damaged beyond repair. It took me a few weeks for my landlord to quote me the cost of replacement, after which I contacted Fighting Chance Moving to ask if they have insurance that would cover this damage. They did not respond to my initial message, nor did they respond to my follow up message one month later. I find this to be extremely unprofessional. I would have understood if they had given me an honest response, but since they have chosen not to respond at all, I am leaving a poor rating. If customer service and having insurance is important to you, do not go with this company.

They were very amazing and caring. My mother is elderly and was moving into assisted living. These men were very patient and kind and got the job done quick! They even put her lift chair together for her.

These guys were great. They were incredibly respectful, on time, and did a fantastic job. I had a queen bed set with a heavy base and large dressers that needed to be moved quickly. Drew and David arrived the next day and maneuvered it out of my home perfectly. They did not bump into one wall, and they made the overall process look easy. I highly, highly recommend!

We offer discounts for first responders, veterans, and those in the medical field! We thank all of you for what you do. We have no hidden fees, we charge a base price to account for things such as a truck, gas, tolls, etc. and then our hourly rate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We strive to be as friendly and transparent as we can from the very start! Poor customer service and lying accomplishes nothing and hurts us in the long run! If we think you could find cheaper options elsewhere or if we aren't up to the task at hand, we will make sure to be honest with you so that we don't waste anyone's time and create an unhappy customer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We do not have education or moving related training, we have experience and the hard work we put into our jobs every day to ensure your move goes as smoothly as possible.
