- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I'm extremely creative, and I have always loved decorating and cooking/baking. Ever since I can remember I have always been in the kitchen or making spaces and decorating them for my barbie. I know a little cheesy right? But that's where my love for interior decorating began. The most joy came from finding small enough objects, or making the objects that I needed to make the spaces how I wanted. When I grew out of the Barbie stage, I was lucky enough to do projects for friends and family. I would decorate day-to-day spaces, decorate for special events such as parties and holidays etc. I didn't want to stop there so when I was done decorating I would make the food. I've had many people tell me how they love what I've done and how they'd love for me to do things for them and that's how I decided to go to school to get my degree.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I have only completed one interior planning job, and my client was extatic with the work I did. Im always cooking, and sometimes I bake too much, I say this only because a person really should probably not intake as much sugar as I do. :) I'm a mother to two wonderful children while being a full-time caregiver to my disabled grandmother. Both are very rewarding and challenging, but as challenging as they are I really enjoy being needed.
