Jim Loller is an awesome Inspector! We wanted to buy a two story, historic, brick home with detached garages but were frightened of what we might find. Jim combed every inch of it, inside and out. He invited me to go with him as he inspected and explained the few things that need to be finished, added, or repaired and, best of all, Jim explained why. The owner was with us, which was nice because I didn't have to spring anything on them that would be a surprise. They heard exactly the same things we did. The report I received was easy to read, had additional comments that explained the ratings, and was a great overall picture of what we were buying. We just signed the mortgage papers on our new (historic) home yesterday and I had such a wonderful feeling knowing that I will be living in a house that is safe, functional, and a real historic find. (The house was built in 1923.) Thank you so much Jim! I have had inspections before and they made me feel as if I was in their way. With your inspection, it was like you were introducing me to my new home for the first time. I suppose you really were. Now I feel as if I know my home. I will not fear the unknown. The seller and I had a wonderful time strolling the grounds and the home as you pointed out features we didn't even realize existed. No one could ask for a more warm, friendly, and truly professional and thorough Inspector as Jim Loller! He is a jewel. A++++ Thanks Jim! We truly appreciate you! What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have to have at least 24 continuing education hours to keep my certificates updated. I also work with the International Code Council review on future updated to the housing code.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I enjoy helping people with their home purchase, making sure that the house they buy will conform with local housing codes and will be a safe structure.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Cheap Inspections will cost you in the long run. You are spending a large amount for your house getting a cheap inspection makes no sense
