Phillip has been great. He's been out twice for two different AC emergencies. Prices are extremely reasonable, and he goes the extra mile to make sure he's preventing a future emergency. Just found out he's a licensed plumber too. Phillip will definitely be hearing from me in the future.

I am a real state investor and had a house set to close the next morning. Received word at 8:00pm the night before that we had some plumbing issues that would delay closing. I posted on Thumbtack and Lance responded right away. I explained my dilemma and he said that would be no problem and he would love to help. Lance showed up the next morning before 8:00 am and had the repairs completed prior to the closing which was completed just as scheduled. I just found my new plumber! Thanks again!

Ok, first off I am not a person to give glowing reviews...I've had bad experiences with plumbers before that have left me where I don't want to call them when I have problems. That said Jerrod was awesome. He came in and fixed my problem very quickly. Everything is now working perfect. He was super friendly and went out of his way to go get the parts for me. Not only that but I left a message with him last night and he was able to tackle the problem today. His prices are very reasonable. I'm used to looking for a new arm or leg after a plumber leaves and this guy was fair priced and explained everything as to why it wasn't working and what he needed to do to fix it. He also cleaned up after the job instead of leaving a mess behind. He will be the only guy I call from now on. Don't hesitate at all to hire him. Super happy customer. Thanks Jerrod. :)

I had a kitchen and bathroom remodel that Devin, with DK's Plumbing, helped me on. It was a very stressful time, as I assume any kind of work to a person's home is! He did a great job and walked us through the entire process on the plumbing portion. He was affordable, honest, clean, and reliable. I encourage anyone looking for a plumber to use DK's Plumbing. We will definitely use him again!

Easter Sunday our house was full of family. Our septic system suddenly backed up. We called several plumbing companies not expecting an answer only leave a few messages. Wade the owner to my surprise answered his phone and came right out. We opened our septic tank and it was full. There were tree roots everywhere. He found a cement distribution manifold about 4 ft in front of our tank leading to the lateral lines and it was packed full of roots not allowing our tank to drain into the lateral lines. After about 4 hours of work he had completely cleaned our lateral lines and the distribution tank. He even plumbed up to surface and installed a cap that allows me to be able to clean debris directly out of the distribution manifold. He taught me so much about septic tank duties and liabilities that I was completely unaware of. I was very worried about the price of a Easter Sunday service call. To my surprise he treated me very fair. I couldn't be happier. I made a genuine friend that day.

I'm a local Realtor in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. Justin (owner) has completed many inspection repairs and/or make ready repairs w/ no complaints from any clients...in fact, they have recommended him to other friends, family, etc. The different types of repairs included (but not limited to): replacement of doors, sheet rock repair, plumbing and electrical (nothing requiring a license), painting interior/exterior, hauloff of debris, roof repairs, landscaping...bsically I can't think of anything that he can't complete and in a professional manner. Oh yeah and he shows up when he says he will!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What are plumbers and what do they do?

Plumbers are skilled professionals who are trained to install and maintain pipes and systems for drinking water, sewage and drainage. They usually have trained through four- to five-year training programs, which include apprenticeships, via trade schools and community colleges. Plumbers’ areas of expertise typically go beyond pipes to include mathematics, blueprint reading, plumbing codes and water distribution. They handle plumbing emergencies, such as broken pipes or clogged drains, and install and maintain everything from a new piping system to a replacement faucet. Plumbers also know how to install bathtubs and showers, toilets, water heaters and dishwashers. Plumbers may work on residential or commercial sites, sometimes designing and laying out a pipe system during construction.

How do you find a good plumber?

Whether you need a plumber to perform drain repair, install a new fixture, or replace rusty pipes, you need to make sure you hire someone reliable who will finish your job on time and within budget. Start by asking the plumbers on your short list these questions:

    • What is the total cost? Make sure your estimate includes materials and labor. Find out whether the plumber will be providing the materials and whether you’re being charged an hourly rate (which is variable) or a flat fee.
    • Is removal and cleanup included in the job? Some plumbers leave behind old parts, while others include the cleanup in the cost.
    • Is the work guaranteed? Find out whether the work (as well as the parts or fixtures) are guaranteed under a warranty.
