Introduction: With a decade of performing experience in various genres and 6 years of private teaching experience, I am set apart by my ability to adapt to students of all ages. I have students from the age of 7 to adults. I start by teaching my students to make a good, healthy, repeatable sound on the instrument (piano or voice), and then I teach them to read the music. When these two facets of learning music come together, I then give my students some tips on artistry and interpretation and watch them create their own magic. All of this occurs at a pace set by the student's learning style and physical ability. I studied vocal music education at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. It is such an immense joy to see students who thought they would never be able to do a certain thing with music effortlessly accomplish that once seemingly unattainable goal.

I came to Tyler I’m sure of the quality he was offering because I’ve never met him before. Tyler then showed me that he has more than one way to explain music, teach music, and be music. I want to thank Tyler for the experience that he gave me. If you’re ever looking for a musician that has a couple notches under his belt or just willing to teach you multiple things he’s your guy!

Taylor is very professional and knowledgeable in music. My daughter was telling me all about the things that she learned and I was very impressed! I would definitely recommend him. Wish we could have worked with him longer but we just don't live in the area. Good luck Taylor! :)

Tyler is great! I have been working with him for over a month now for voice lessons and I have already learned more than I imagined myself capable of. Not only is he kind, encouraging and patient, he is obviously very knowledgeable about singing and has a very effective teaching style/plan. If you are considering voice lessons I would highly recommend Tyler.

Mr Barton is honestly the best vocal teacher, I have ever encountered. He understands the psychological aspect behind singing, as well as understanding the physical aspects. Vocal lessons is not just an activity with him, it’s an art that teaches. Highly would recommend him if you plan to achieve your full vocal potential.

Tyler is great. He worked around our busy schedule and showed up on time ready to teach. He gained the trust of my daughter and I and was a very relaxed and patient teacher.
