We had discovered our water heater went out on a Monday night. So going without hot water into Tuesday we were worried that there would be no hot water for the week. After contacting Rapid Water heaters and their quick response we were back with hot water by noon time. We were impressed with the professionalism and value. He explained everything clearly and precisely. We were provided s couple of estimates and once decided on he went to pick up our new heater and installed in less time proposed.

John was great! He took the time to listen to my concerns about the location and challenges of my basement. He studied the situation and made sure my water heater was up to code. He even took time to contact the city code division to verify the install since it was not a common situation (basement in a 45 year old home) Thank you John and Jeannie for taking care of our water heater!

Removed old water heater and installed and plumbed new American made water heater. I really liked the fact that they use American made products instead of Mexico made junk.

Easy to work with and professional. Explained all options, work to be done and exact price of work prior to starting. Came out same day on a Saturday with no extra charge. Completed old water heater removal and new water heater installation in just over an hour including some changes to bring everything up to current code. Left area clean and picked up upon completion.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I went to school to become a paramedic, which doesn't really have much to do with plumbing. However, it has come in handy. After being in business for myself for only about 6 months, a plumber from a different company went into cardiac arrest at the local parts supply warehouse. I was able to perform CPR and let the firefighters take over when they arrived. When he left in the ambulance, I called my wife and shared with her the experience and told her I was pretty sure he didn't make it. One of the best days was the following days when the plumber's adult daughter called to thank me for saving his life. I continue to learn about my professional by attending classes each year and attending trade show. I love to read about new products so I can be able to offer then to clients.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was in college working toward becoming a paramedic while volunteering at my local firehouse and working as an EMT. When my wife became pregnant with our first daughter, my perspective changed and I decided I didn't want to have 24 hour shifts away from my family. I decided I needed to do something I could provide for my family and have my wife be able to stay home with the children. That's when I decided to get back into plumbing and start my own company.
