Tlk Interior’s Terri submitted an estimate to my insurance. My insurance sent the estimate back noting excessive labor charges so she removed them (Terri admitted to “accidentally double dipping” on labor). However, once the estimate was accepted and paid out, Terri added the excessive labor back in and tried to pass it off as an increase in materials cost. Tlk refused to honor an estimate that was less than 2 weeks old even though Terri admitted that she unknowingly quoted a sale price that was no longer effective. Avoid this contractor at all costs! Update after tlk's response: My insurance company requested a revised estimate to include carpet on August 19th. They requested another revision to the estimate due to excessive labor charges on August 23rd. The excessive labor was not discovered by tlk, they only reduced the labor once my insurance company asked them to do so. Tlk provided a revised estimate on August 23. However, one week later and after I settled with the insurance company, tlk informed me that they had quoted a SALE PRICE and would not honor their estimate. They would be charging me the excessive labor. I selected LVP flooring that was LESS EXPENSIVE than both the vinyl and carpet that tlk quoted so the price for material should not have exceeded the amount quoted by tlk. The tile work includes replacing *2* 12x12 pieces of tile with stock I have on hand. Additionally, three other contractors quoted less than $400 for installing new drywall with paint. When tlk was asked to submit a revised estimate reflecting labor only - no materials so that I could compare labor costs, they refused. Do not waste your time or money with this Contractor.
