Molding or baseboards,
Bryan Trent calls himself a "Handyman"--however, while both handy, as well as a man with tremendous integrity and character, he exceeds this label. Bryan came to us on the heels of four different construction-remodelers, providing an excellent comparison pool. In short, Bryan Trent has now been finishing our 1200 square foot remodel, and we have hired him as our permanent Handyman. More specifically, allow me to describe his particular skills and abilities for others considering his employment. 1) His construction skills are outstanding--we have been most impressed with the mantel, completion of our deck, mirror trimout, and hardware mounting on decorative wooden panels he made; 2) He can and will do most anything asked of him. If he is not heavily skilled in an area, he finds resources that prep him to complete special projects, such as the installation of a screen door on double panel patio doors, raising our treadmill to proper height with a wooden block design, and trimming the kitchen with retro moulding, to name a few; 3) While not a licensed plumber, he has skills in this area as well. As stated, he can fix most anything; 4) He took his time to insure high caliber work, respected our property (and we are extremely particular about this!...e.g., he wears "booties" over his shoes when walking on our new carpet)--and our time. 5) He offers a very fair price. After numerous contractors and construction personnel, we would, and have, hired Bryan Trent as our "Handyman," but he is really a contractor, carpenter, plumber, and whatever meets your needs. While working for you, he will afford you respect, listen to your needs, communicate with you concerning your wants, and give you his very best effort. We could not be more pleased to have found and hired, Mr. Bryan Trent via Thumbtack. If you do the same, he will not dissapoint.Feb 10, 2015Verified

Bryan was very flexible in his schedule to replace the locks on our house. And still accommodating when I had originally miscounted the number of locks that needed replaced. I hope to hire Bryan again for future projects. Thank you!Apr 12, 2015Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Every job is different, and when it comes to remodel work you never know what issues may arise once you start a particular task. Typically, I negotiate either an overall bid or an hourly wage--always giving a fair price that allows me to make a living and the client to be satisfied with the work accomplished.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am constantly learning about new products, and I often consult the internet, as well as watch You Tube videos to see other pros tackle a problem. There are many ways to do the same job--one of the interesting parts of construction is looking for the best way to get that job done. I really enjoy finding any new or better ways.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have always enjoyed working with my hands and fell into construction at an early age, and it just fits my lifestyle of enjoying people and pleasing them. I want to make homes and/or offices be places of enjoyment, and I appreciate interacting with the public.
