Bryan Trent calls himself a "Handyman"--however, while both handy, as well as a man with tremendous integrity and character, he exceeds this label. Bryan came to us on the heels of four different construction-remodelers, providing an excellent comparison pool. In short, Bryan Trent has now been finishing our 1200 square foot remodel, and we have hired him as our permanent Handyman. More specifically, allow me to describe his particular skills and abilities for others considering his employment. 1) His construction skills are outstanding--we have been most impressed with the mantel, completion of our deck, mirror trimout, and hardware mounting on decorative wooden panels he made; 2) He can and will do most anything asked of him. If he is not heavily skilled in an area, he finds resources that prep him to complete special projects, such as the installation of a screen door on double panel patio doors, raising our treadmill to proper height with a wooden block design, and trimming the kitchen with retro moulding, to name a few; 3) While not a licensed plumber, he has skills in this area as well. As stated, he can fix most anything; 4) He took his time to insure high caliber work, respected our property (and we are extremely particular about this!...e.g., he wears "booties" over his shoes when walking on our new carpet)--and our time. 5) He offers a very fair price. After numerous contractors and construction personnel, we would, and have, hired Bryan Trent as our "Handyman," but he is really a contractor, carpenter, plumber, and whatever meets your needs. While working for you, he will afford you respect, listen to your needs, communicate with you concerning your wants, and give you his very best effort. We could not be more pleased to have found and hired, Mr. Bryan Trent via Thumbtack. If you do the same, he will not dissapoint.
They were great to work with they have very much pride in their work. They installed some laminate flooring for me and was on time paid a lot of attention to detail. I would use them again for sure.

My work stands out from almost every other installer out there. It is a true rarity for me to pull old carpet out and see that the installer/installers before me even did the most basic thing in the trade right which is nailing the tack strip! I use a hammer on new concrete but on older homes I use a hammer drill. My strip is there to stay and I double the strip on every wall over 20 feet. Upstairs I nail an extra between every two nails in the strip so instead of having the original 9 nails in a four foot strip mine has 17. I use the best seam tape which is a must if you have traffic. I seal all carpet edges to tile transitions. I also power stretch every room, hall, and even most closets! I haven't met an installer yet in my career that does even half of these things. Lets say you put two of the same house side by side and had me install one and someone else install the other one. You might not be able to walk in that day and notice a difference but in one year when you enter these homes again you will be amazed. One will be loose, more worn out, and most likely have pins poking your feet and carpet coming loose at the bathroom doorways where your tile meets!
