- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Photography: $50-200 location fee (depending on location/scope of shoot). Prints and digital files priced separately or in packages. $50.00 studio fee-includes one large digital file (emailed or disk) $15.00 for additional digital files--minor adjustments made for best quality (emailed or disk) $50.00/hour for major editing/adjustments with a $25.00 minimum Prints and shipping charged separately depending on size. High quantity packages available. Staging: $50-75/hour, depending on complexity and location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Prior to the assignment, I like to speak with them on the phone whenever possible to find out exactly what they are looking for, as this is very very valuable information for a successful shoot. I have found relationship and communication are very important in this business.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in advertising/commercial art. I also have worked in the motion picture industry in set design and staging, which educated me in positioning objects, people, etc. for photography. I have taken classes in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, as I use the Adobe Creative Suite. I also am a graphic designer, working in print production.
