Dahrla has been providing private classes for my daughter twice a week for about 3 months. What started out as general fitness training has evolved into martial arts training as well as fitness. My daughter LOVES it (and has lost weight). She is friendly, competent and reliable. Not to mention flexible in scheduling and reasonable fees. We feel very lucky to have met Dahrla and would highly recommend her to anyone interested in either martial arts training or just needing a personal trainer.

I first started training with Alex at West Coast Strength in 2013 after having my second child. In my initial consultation we just talked. He instantly put me at ease and asked about my goals, lifestyle and nutrition. Through our conversation, I felt like he really took the time to get a sense of who I was, and what I wanted to get from training. He took what I told him and used it to create a strength training program and nutrition plan specific to my needs. He did an amazing job of making my daunting goal seem achievable. Over the past four years I've watched him train hundreds of people, from high school athletes to elite bodybuilders to moms and older adults looking to lose weight and change their lifestyle. What is unique about Alex is his ability to connect people...he cares about each and every one of his clients and it shows through the enormous amount of time and energy he puts into helping them achieve their goals. He leads by example and lives the healthy lifestyle he and his business at West Coast Strength promote. My first meeting with Alex I remember him telling me that results wouldn't come overnight but if I could "put in the work and be patient" the results would come. Patience doesn't come easily to me, and initially I struggled with the concept. Since then I've come to realize he was right, and that his initial advice applies not only to my fitness, but to my life as well. Working with him the past few years changed my physique, but it has also made me mentally stronger. I would recommend him and West Coast Strength to anyone looking to make a similar life change.

Having never been weight training or in a gym before in my life, I was really apprehensive about working with someone and being surrounded by people who know a whole lot more than I do and look a lot more in shape than myself. Chad from the very start kept me comfortable in my body and in my mind. He is very knowledgeable and has made fitness his true calling and craft in life. He is passionate about what he does and he makes that come out when you’re working with him. Although Chad may only be my first personal trainer in life I can say that I don’t plan on finding a new one. He has helped me develop work outs, meal plans and an overall healthy beneficial lifestyle. I’m already seeing results in my body and I couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend Chad to anyone looking for a personal trainer whether new or old to the workout scene.

I was recommended to this trainer be a friend of mine who trained with him to get better at volleyball. I am playing soccer in high school and its my last year, so I really wanted to be good to show colleges what I can do. Before, I couldn't run for a whole game and I wasn't even close to being the fastest girl on the team. After training with him I was able to last the whole time, and was the second fastest on my team :) He helps with agility and flexibility as well which really improved my game. If you want to get better at your sport, go to Alex!

Physical fitness is an aspect of my life that has traditionally alluded me. I had gone to the gym on and off in the past and in college I thought I really knew what I was doing. However, somewhere between graduating college, working a full-time job, and getting married, I lost the drive and focus needed to maintain an active lifestyle. I soon found myself unhappy with my body and felt lethargic throughout the day. So, I decided to make a change. Over the next year I set nutritional goals and worked on my cardiovascular fitness. After a year of running I was fifty pounds lighter but I had not set foot in a gym. I wanted to go to the gym and work on resistance training. However, in all honesty, I had avoided the gym because I felt as if I needed more knowledge before entering a weight room. Then I found G3 and Henry. Henry gave me a tour of the gym and I was impressed by his positive attitude and how approachable he was. I tried one personal training session with Henry and since that first session I haven’t had a moment of disappointment. I can’t begin to thank Henry enough for helping me reach my fitness goals. Henry creates a positive atmosphere for his clients that help them reach their desired goals. However, possibly even more importantly, Henry helps his clients build a strong sense of confidence while working out. That sense of confidence is priceless when it comes to weight training and I no longer avoid going to the gym. In fact, I am excited every time I go to the gym. Henry constantly provides fresh training regimes that are fun and effective. He has taught me how to work out safely, effectively, and properly. Working with Henry continues to be one of the smartest fitness decisions I have made and I look forward to continuing to train with him in the future.

Zack designed an in home resistance training program for me to supplement the aerobic training I was doing on my own. The program has made a world of difference in my overall fitness. Melissa is a miracle worker! I started at Spired with very little background in fitness and strength training; I could hardly do one assisted push-up, I hated sweating, and loathed the idea of a monotonous gym routine. Well, here I am four months later: 36 lbs lighter, dominating 30+ push-ups per session, sweating like a pig (and loving it), and doing anything BUT a monotonous gym routine. Simply put, Melissa makes working out fun. She has always made me feel comfortable and encouraged. Not to mention, her home gym is stocked with a variety of high-end equipment that keeps every workout interesting. I can not thank Melissa or recommend her enough!

When I began training I couldn't even walk my mile without breathing really hard with a heavy barking noise. Medically cleared for all health issues , it was clear I was very out of shape. Coach Rich takes his knowledge and uses it to personalize my workouts . He is in constant contact with me , guiding me. I have made so much progress physically and mentally. I'm down 22 pounds. I've never been athletic , so it is challenging . Coach Rich is with me at every rep, encouraging me along the way. My goal is 80 more pounds and I used to be afraid I would die this way. However , Coach Rich has me believing I will achieve my goal. A total change of thinking for me. I would not have known my abilities If it wasn't for him. I would not known how to listen to my body if he didn't teach me. I am excited to reach the rest of my goals

After our recent move, I have to say how much I truly miss my trainer, my training sessions, and that constant encouragement. “You’re good” was the best thing I heard all week sometimes.One of the greatest things about Colt is that he didn't just train me while I was there in Eugene, he developed a set of routines I could do with hand weights and resistance bands. And a set for when I can get a TRX strap, available online. I've been at my daughter’s in Utah for almost two weeks now, and I’ve been “running,” but I haven’t pulled out my workout notebook yet. TODAY is the day. I’ll probably cry when I see Colt’s handwriting in it. Anyone in Eugene or surrounding area, if you’re at least 40 years old and want to have a personal trainer who will work with you at your level and help you achieve your best level of fitness, go see him at 40+ Personal Training at the Oakway Golf Course on Cal Young Road. Your needs and goals will be thoroughly evaluated, and your first week of training is FREE. It’s one of the best decisions I ever made.
