FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typical project costs are based on a price point of $45 per hour for labor plus the cost of any and all materials required for the work. There are some exceptions to the labor pricing in situations where specialty work is requested (i.e. stucco/plaster applications, etc.).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically first we have a phone consultation to set an appointment for an in-person estimate where we would go over materials and a game plan for the construction. At that time, I would work up a free estimate after we discuss different price points regarding materials and other options. After the customer accepts an estimate AQB prepares a contract outlining the scope of work, estimated costs, and company policies (such as warranty on work). After a contract is signed we commence work on the project as agreed upon.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our owner is a licensed and bonded construction contractor with a combined 19 of years experience in the construction field. As per state regulations we complete proper annual continuing education requirements to keep up on current rights, responsibilities, and requirements for construction contractors in Oregon. We are licensed and registered with the Oregon Secretary of State business division and the Construction Contractor's Board. Our owner/project manager is also certified and licensed in lead-based paint abatement as required for work done on units constructed before 1978.
