Tom Helinski is actually very easy to communicate with: returning emails very quickly. He was able to answer and explain my son's calculus questions easily, and his price per hour is manageable. My only complaint is that PSU is a pain to get to and from during rush hour traffic and the hall that they conduct the tutoring in is very noisy.

We've loved working with Michael who has been tutoring our 7-year-old son for a few months now. He's punctual, caring and "gets" our son (who loves math!). He's brings real-life scenarios and a wholistic mindset into his math tutoring. He totally meshes well with our family's viewpoints and desires. Needless to say, we've been pleasantly surprised at how much our son looks forward to his sessions with him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Thorough, accomodating, professional. We found Mr Judkins a thorough gentleman, taught my daughter English Ap 2. He always accomodated us into his schedule though he was very busy himself. We had no confidence in skype sessions but he made my daughter ease into them. She benefitted greatly from his knowledge and expertise. We intend to use his services for my daughter's admission process too.

I love M4M Tutoring services! M4M provides the perfect atmosphere for my sister to learn and grow in all subjects, but specifically math. Not all students have the same learning style, and M4M is able to adapt to each learning style as well as provide the information in a fashion in which it will be retained! All love for M4M Tutoring services, nothing but patience, passion, and excellence has been demonstrated.

Katrina is a very resourceful and professional tutor. She gave me many different activities to do during classes, and shared several tips and methods to inspire me to improve Spanish daily. She's easy to talk with, and super flexible about time/location for lessons. She also held some group classes or gathering among her students, so that we all made some new friends while learning Spanish!

We have been so pleased with our tutoring. My daughter has become more confident. I like how the tutoring can be changed to a different way of explaining so my daughter can understand a difficult concept.

My 6th grade daughter was behind her grade level in math for the past two years.... even working with a math tutor. Our neighbor recommended Richelle.....and now the tables have turned! We just had the most amazing teacher conference and report card. She has an A+ in math, and her teacher was blown away that she had been struggling in the past. Richelle has a way of connecting with her and making math fun. She comes so highly recommended from us!

I reached out to Student Circle to get help on my statement of purpose. Student circle was able to help me beyond just correcting grammatical errors; they helped me improve the substance and style of the essay. Despite working under the deadline, they were able to contribute a lot to refining and finalizing my statement of purpose. I'd highly recommend Student Circle to anyone seeking academic help.

Sara tutored me in beginning Spanish twice a week for a semester. She helped me study for tests, with homework, and she reviewed subject areas from the past that I was still struggling with. Overall she was awesome and encouraging. I plan to go back to Sara next semester for intermediate Spanish tutoring!

Mervin was a great resource for me as a tutor! There were many times where I was confused about the material, and he was very supportive in talking me through the subject. Mervin cares deeply about the process of teaching and learning, and he is eager to help students in need.

Sheila did the first edits on an article I was publishing in an academic journal. Aside from grammatical and spelling errors and inconsistencies, she caught a "bug" in my research that helped shore up my conclusion. Very happy I found her and I look forward to working with Sheila again.

About

READING & WRITING &VOCABULARY HELP Is your child still struggling to read and write even though he or she has worked with a reading specialist? Have you been told that your child might be dyslexic. I was trained at the Blosser Center in Portland, Oregon to teach reading to children who are dyslexic, are suspected of being dyslexic, or are just having a hard time learning to read. I have a screening I use, so I can tell you if I can help your child. The Orton-Gillingham method of teaching reading, writing, and spelling to children and adults who struggle to read has been around many years, and it works beautifully. In addition to my training at the Blosser Center, I have a BA in Journalism from the University of Oregon. I have been tutoring children from 1st grade to 12th grade in reading and writing for nine years. I have also worked with adults who want to improve their reading and writing. In addition to reading and writing, I also work with children on grammar and handwriting as time allows. I home schooled my own dyslexic son through middle school until he was reading and writing above grade level. He is now an upper classman pursuing a STEM major at Washington State University. Furthermore, I have worked in two different public schools as an Orton-Gillingham reading specialist. Currently, I have an up-to-date background check through Evergreen School District for reading and writing tutoring services contracted through the school. How it works - I meet with your child two to three times a week for 50 minutes per session. I tutor most of my children at the Salmon Creek Library in Salmon Creek in Vancouver, Washington. In some cases, I can come to your home if you live close to the library. I have excellent references from parents and teachers. I would love to talk to you about your child and your options. Helping children learn to read is my passion and life work.
