Sandra catered our wedding, and everyone loved the food. She had brought a curried appetizer that I didn't ask about, and it was a HUGE HIT, Everyone really enjoyed it. Out of all the caterers and restaurants we checked, Sandra really worked with our budget, and there was plenty of food, and everything was really tasty. Viki and her staff did an amazing job catering our event. The food was delicious and she coordinated its display with the color palette for our event, it was beautiful. Her staff was professional and attentive to our guests and everyone raved how good it all was!! We had Alison as our caterer for two meals during our weekend wedding. The experience was simply amazing. The food itself was exemplary. The short ribs served during the dinner were a perfect compliment to our "grand feast" theme as were the roasted vegetables. All the bread was baked by Alison and was sought out by guests long after the dinner. For breakfast she served pancakes with fresh berries inside, eggs, and most popularly...the extra sauce from the short ribs. My guests used it on the pancakes, eggs, and eventually just poured it on bread. We believe the bread is what kept many from drinking it straight. There were no complaints from vegetarian guests as all portions were plentiful. Because the nature of our wedding, Alison was onsite with us for two days. Her personality is gregarious and zany in the best way. Everyone who met her was instantly fond of her. We had last minute technical problems dealing with a very old kitchen oven and Alison adapted immediately and with complete grace. If I had to leave with a final pull quote for Alison it would be "New York quality catering with a Portland sociability."
Maribel and our team provided excellent food, drink and service for our event. From the start, Fusion Catering was so easy to work with: returning emails quickly, confirming and clarifying our ideas, and checking in along the way. The food was fresh and delicious, our guests were raving about it all night. And they set up and cleaned up perfectly. Maribel’s contact with a bartender was a big plus, too. We could relax and enjoy the party as one of the guests. We look forward to using Fusion Catering again.
I never imagined my dream wedding like a lot of girls do. I always figured a wedding would be between the bride and the groom and never thought much about feeding guests or even having a beautiful dress. But, in January of 2016 I set the date to finally walk down the aisle. I had six months to plan the day's events. It seemed more than daunting to plan everything. As a woman pushing 40 with a full time career and a child to raise, having the "perfect wedding" was definitely not a priority to me. Also, with finances being an issue, i certainly was counting my pennies and not expecting anything fancy at all when I added everything up. A few months before the wedding I reached out to Danielle and Austin, knowing they were chefs and had recently been married themselves, to get a few money savings tips and maybe some free advice on how I could feed about 100 people on a tight budget. I was going to attempt a potluck wedding. That first phone call with Danielle changed everything. I let her know my situation and I laid it all out for her. Bottom line, I wanted a no frills- "just feed the people" wedding reception! By the end of that fateful phone call, Danielle offered me peace of mind in my menu choices, awesome tips on what foods go well with others and what doesn't and she even provided me surprising comfort with a particularwedding ceremony detail that I had been worried about. Her advice on a personal level and a professional level relieved me so much. At that point I realized I NEEDED to hire her officially and not just skim her knowledge for free advice! Ha! Shortly after I officially hired her, she provided a beautiful wedding menu just for me that expressed the casual feeling I wanted but added TONS of class! She met with me briefly before the wedding to go over a few more details. Even during that brief meeting I was left at ease knowing she fully understood my plans and trusted her completely. I wasn't worried a bit. A week before the wedding, the unthinkable happened. My outdoor picnic wedding had to be cancelled due to rain. Danielle and Austin were quick to make all appropriate adjustments and eased my mind about the sudden change of plans as well. On my wedding day, I was so happy to walk into the kitchen that morning and see her and Austin's smiling faces. They both seemed SO cool and relaxed. Neither one of them had that "hurried" chef look. They created an amazing spread with such elegant details that really surprised me! Cucumber-melon water, anyone? Healthy and savory quinoa pasta? Sheesh! What a TREAT! When it was time for the champagne toast, Danielle brought my glass to me with such a gracious and refreshed smile that I didn't even notice that she had been hustling as she helped serve the rest of my guests their drinks. Just pure professionalism and talent. Danielle and Austin have a unique talent of helping their client clarify their menu ideas and bring them into fruition. They took a scary and possibly pathetic wedding day and turned it into a memorable and elegant experience. Thank you guys! Alison made everything so easy! She was very accommodating to our budget, and put together a delicious dinner for our office party. We went with the BBQ dinner, and I'm still dreaming about that grilled garlic chicken! Alison even made a special gluten free cupcake for our one gluten free employee. It's obvious that she loves what she does and really cares about creating a good experience for her customers. We will definitely be ordering from her again.
We had a very simple wedding ceremony at home, followed by an intimate catered dinner with a grand total of 11 people including me and the groom. It was greatly appreciated that staff were willing to drive all the way from Tigard to our house in Kalama, Washington. Miranda was well organized and friendly. She was quick to respond to emails and phone calls, thoroughly answering any questions we had for her. We did a food tasting prior to booking and enjoyed the food we were able to sample, although after the fact we wished we would have had the opportunity to try the coriander salmon with peach/avocado salsa since it was "award-winning". We ended up ordering it as one of our three entrees and were a bit nervous that it may end up being a little over the top for us since we usually prepare salmon very simply at home. However, we found it to be delicious. The guests were very complimentary about the dinner. I especially liked the penne pasta with mushrooms and truffle cream sauce. We were sent two caterers for our event, one to serve food and one to bartend. We provided our own alcohol for the bartender to serve, so we had ingredients and garnishes for most basic cocktails. We also provided homemade mint-infused simple syrup to add to mojitos. When the catering staff showed up on the wedding day, the staff member designated as our bartender confided that she was very nervous since she had not bartended in about 30 years. She did not know how to make basic cocktails, which surprised us a little, but she was very friendly and accommodating, and used a flip book of recipes for guidance. The groom pointed out the mint simple syrup in the fridge while the bartender was setting up for the event and explained to her that it was for the mojitos. When I took a sip of the first mojito I ordered that evening, it was extremely strong since it had no simple syrup and just a splash of club soda. The bartender was more than happy to add the simple syrup and a bit more club soda at my request, which made it taste great. I was a bit worried about how my guests' drinks might be tasting, but didn't hear any complaints. The bartender was hard working and personable with the guests. We provided our own coffee to be served at the event. However, the grounds we had were either too course for the catering company's percolator or the measurement was off, because the coffee poured out looking more like dilute tea. We ended up making coffee for our guests with our French press. The catering van pulled into the garage and remained parked there in order to load the food and supplies into our house. The garage is the first thing one sees when he or she is driving up our long, winding gravel driveway. The groom asked staff if they could please shut the garage door once they were inside so that guests would be prompted to use the walkway around the side of the house and enter from the entrance rather than through the garage and laundry room. The garage door was never shut, so all of the guests came in this way. It wasn't a huge deal, but it wasn't as visually appealing. Overall, we were happy with the way our wedding dinner turned out and found the staff at Divine Catering to be very friendly. I may have decided not to purchase a bartending package had I known that we would be provided with an inexperienced bartender, but the evening still turned out well regardless.
Wow! Did Company Tonight come through for our annual dinner, they did not disappoint! The response were raves and I couldn't be more pleased. They did more than cook dinner, Company Tonight took care of us! I highly recommend!
My vice catering catered our wedding reception for 200 people this last July. They were professional from the start. They met with us one on one to go over budget, theme, and to truly get to know us so that the food would reflect our style. They also worked well within our budget and got creative to make sure we stayed within our means but still provided everything we wanted. They also use local food and are comitted to using sustainable products, which was important to us. At the event itself, they took care of everything from set up to clean up so we didnt have to worry about anything. The food was incredible, the cocktails were unique and delicious and the tablescapes were perfect. Everyone kept asking us who catered our event. The staff was also very professional and were on top of it throughout the night. I would highly recommend My Vice Catering! You won’t regret it!
They are able to whip up a banquet in no time -- everything cooked right and timed perfectly. The barbecue is delicious! Lots of interesting Asian side dishes.
Receiving food from Tranquil Heart has been amazing! Its chef/owner Diane truly has a passion for cooking and you can taste it with every bite! The meal service is a great way to make eating healthy super easy! While I am a carnivore, I have tried some of her vegan specialties and was impressed with how flavorful they were! Dealing with Diane and Tranquil Heart is a pleasure!
