I had a great experience working with Robbie. I wanted to add a little bit more weight lifting to the cardio routine I was already doing. My goal was to gain some upper body muscle. He listened to my goals and would tweak my workout as I gave feedback. Robbie did a great job teaching form and had a list of exercises I could do for each muscle group. I worked with Robbie once a week and he had a list of exercises I could do on non-personal training days with the weight range and reps I should be lifting. He did measurements every few months so we could track gains and progress. Robbie was very genuine, friendly, respectful and was always punctual. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer a free 1 hour consultation where we get to know each other before we work together My price is $65/hour but this price may increase depending on travel time. For those who want to train more than once a week, I do offer discounts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First thing is I try to learn as much as I can about you. The more I know, the better I can help you. From health screenings to previous experience with exercise. From your reasons for seeing a trainer to initial assessments overall fitness (i.e. strength, mobility, balance, joint stability, etc.). I want to know everything that makes you you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have an associates degree from Portland Community College. I am a certified personal trainer through ACSM, Group Fitness through ACE, as well TRX certified. I have also studied kettlebell, balance, sports performance, and mobility training.
