Physical fitness is an aspect of my life that has traditionally alluded me. I had gone to the gym on and off in the past and in college I thought I really knew what I was doing. However, somewhere between graduating college, working a full-time job, and getting married, I lost the drive and focus needed to maintain an active lifestyle. I soon found myself unhappy with my body and felt lethargic throughout the day. So, I decided to make a change. Over the next year I set nutritional goals and worked on my cardiovascular fitness. After a year of running I was fifty pounds lighter but I had not set foot in a gym. I wanted to go to the gym and work on resistance training. However, in all honesty, I had avoided the gym because I felt as if I needed more knowledge before entering a weight room. Then I found G3 and Henry. Henry gave me a tour of the gym and I was impressed by his positive attitude and how approachable he was. I tried one personal training session with Henry and since that first session I haven’t had a moment of disappointment. I can’t begin to thank Henry enough for helping me reach my fitness goals. Henry creates a positive atmosphere for his clients that help them reach their desired goals. However, possibly even more importantly, Henry helps his clients build a strong sense of confidence while working out. That sense of confidence is priceless when it comes to weight training and I no longer avoid going to the gym. In fact, I am excited every time I go to the gym. Henry constantly provides fresh training regimes that are fun and effective. He has taught me how to work out safely, effectively, and properly. Working with Henry continues to be one of the smartest fitness decisions I have made and I look forward to continuing to train with him in the future.

I have been lifting weights for a few years now and decided to go to a trainer to help with the right technique on all the lifts. The main goal was to gain muscle mass and try to just over all become stronger. Henry has done an excellent job of being a trainer and pushing me to my limits. I would definitely recommend him to anybody who is looking for a trainer. I look forward to training with him every time.

I started my journey with Henry Brown on October 8, 2014. I paid for 12 sessions. In those 6 weeks, I lost a total of 5.01% percent of body fat. I could feel my body getting stronger and stronger every week. I used to break a sweat rearranging furniture in my home! My confidence has gone up with the results I have been getting from my sessions with Henry. I'm not where I want to be but I know I can reach my goals with the training Henry has given me. I highly recommend Henry Brown if you are looking for a professional who knows what he's doing and can help you reach your goals.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    My reason for being a strength and conditioning trainer started with my own body failures and challenges. I left the Marine Corps because of various injuries that I sustained while serving, mainly my knees being my biggest issue. I had to learn to continue to be mobile, gain strength and keep motivated through a lot of pain and failure at times. I also learned a bit about the variety of exercises and movement that exists in the fitness industry and immediately became interested in creating plans that could help anyone at any level, knowing that at one point in time I had been one of the healthiest and athletic, and now faced my own challenges to stay healthy and motivated. Body By You Training is my passion and I love the fact that I can bring it to anyone, on any level and see my system benefit them in their own unique way.
