We recently catered a company family picnic for which Tammy was the event planner. I have been catering since 2005 and have catered many such events, but have yet to see one put together as nicely as the job Tammy did for this company's event. There were multiple games for families and children to participate in, along with a jumper for the kids and face painting for everyone. There were fabulous raffle prizes and the tables were very nicely decorated. She communicated her needs well; and, other than some wind, the event was spectacular. Krysta was totally amazing!!!! She made all my dreams come true. We had an outdoor wedding at the rose garden. Then she turned our reception room into a beautiful pink garden wonderland. Premium Catering Service. was used by Karly and Jose Corona June 23,2005 for their wedding. It was an out-door affair at the Overland House in Portland Or. The ceremony and reception were held in the backyard. After the ceremony the guests were escorted to the front yard and served hors doeuvres while the crew set up the reception in the back. Guests returned to a lovely sight -white clothed tables set with flowers and candles, lights twinkling in the trees, soft music - everything Karly and Jose had dreamed of. The buffet was set up and food artfully arranged - all the dishes the bride and groom had requested and it was all delicious. The caterers were all attentive, efficient and very pleasant. Given they did not have a rehearsal for this event everything went very smoothly and was so much fun thanks to all their great work. While the bride and groom enjoyed their lovely reception and their guests the caterers cleaned up impeccably and quietly stole away. While MaKenna has been pursuing her wedding planning and coordination business for a year and a half at full throttle, her poise and professionalism makes it seem as though she has 20 years of experience in the business! She has a calming demeanor that is exactly what I needed as a stressed bride with a busy job and little time to plan my own wedding. We started working with her a year before our event and she was there to help coach us every step of the away as questions arose. She returns emails, texts and phone calls promptly, puts care into every bit of communication, and anticipates bride/groom needs in a way that's nothing short of impressive. Due to my husband and I's planning, we actually ran out of booze the first few hours of our wedding. But fear not! MaKenna guided our staffing team to make a Safeway run during the event, informed us (the bride/groom) of the extra purchase so it wasn't a shocker later, and our guests never even noticed. That's one of many examples of how MaKenna knows how to solve a problem without it ever turning into an issue. I also wanted to point out that she's great in handling varied bride-groom opinions. My husband and I didn't agree on some things throughout our wedding planning process and every time we had differing opinions in front of MaKenna, she calmly suggested solutions that met both of our concerns or pointed out if something didn't need to be discussed further, i.e. move on to the bigger ticket items vs. over-discussing details. I appreciated this as it helped us with momentum in our planning. I'm super confident that MaKenna's business will continue to thrive in the years to come! Thanks, MaKenna! I hired Jen McNutt-Bloom as the wedding planner for my son's wedding in Eugene this July. His new bride and he live in Hong Kong, so although they were consulted on decisions regarding their wedding, most of the wedding planning fell on my shoulders. I hired Jen last summer after she was highly recommended by the wedding coordinator at Sweet Cheeks Winery, the venue for the wedding. Jen helped me every step of the way, making recommendations for caterers, florists, DJs, photographers, etc. and letting me decide what worked with our budget. She was very generous with her time, communicating with me by phone, email, and in-person meetings, and connecting with the bride and groom by Skype and email. Her knowledge and experience in planning weddings in the Eugene area were invaluable, and her creativity, enthusiasm, and warmth were also greatly appreciated. She also was extremely helpful to me in planning a Welcome Dinner at our home. I highly recommend Jen to anyone looking for a local wedding planner. She's a winner and you can't go wrong!
DJgroovemaker DJed my wedding several weekends ago. He agreed to drive several hours for my wedding which was great! The music for the ceremony was perfect. Unfortunately when it came to the dance party he did not have most of the songs I had listed for him to play in our previous meetings. The wifi at our venue was limited, so I was understanding until I listed off every line dance song I had sent previously and none were available. Despite this disappointment the dance party at the reception was awesome and the dance floor constantly full of people the entire time! I also really appreciated the help from Terry's assistant/ girlfriend. I had completely forgotten about the bouquet toss and she suggested that I do it at a time when I was waiting for a specific person to do a special dance to kick off our dance party.
This place is constantly beautifying their grounds with flattering woodwork and landscaping. The resort is family run, and they are a fun group to work with. Nicolle is a "built-in" coordinator for your event. She made sure our wedding day ran flawlessly. I recommend NCR to any of my family or friends for a scenic, woodsy event setting.
We hired J29 for day-of wedding coordination, since we live in Mississippi and were getting married in Portland. Nicole was our coordinator and went above and beyond to make sure things went off without a hitch. Aside from coordinating the ceremony, which was moved inside at the last minute due to rain, she also handled all the reception details so we didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day. She set up displays, brought us food, kept the event on schedule (cake cutting, dances, announcements, etc.). Working with Nicole was a breeze from start to finish, and I can't imagine what the day would have been like without her help. Thanks Nicole!
Christine was great to work with: always on top of everything, flexible and considerate. Unfortunately our event had to be cancelled at the very last minute due to unforeseen issues. If i need assistance with event planning again, i will come find Christine again.
I hired Barbara to come to my home and help me cook a weekly meal plan for me to eat throughout the week. Barbara prepared a thorough meal plan in advance and provided a compete shopping list for me to prepare the food type of my choice. Barbara worked with my schedule and was always on-time. I wanted to learn how to cook everything and participated in the food preparation. She was an excellent teacher to show me how to properly prepare the food. The included proper & thorough precautions to avoid food contamination. Barbara helped me plan health meals but yet new, out of the ordinary type of dishes which all were excellent. I've been enjoying these healthy dishes for several weeks now and will continue to use Barbara in the future to assist and teach me with my meal planning and preparation. I've never eaten so good. The pricing was very reasonable for the amount of time Barbara put into the planning, preparation, travel to my home and amount of time spent preparing meals. Barbara is very professional and has excellent cooking/baking skills. I would highly recommend Barbara for your food/desert requirements.
Sunblossoms floral is out go-to floral designer. Shannon did our wedding in 2007 and Sunblossoms Floral has been a part of every major event in our family since then. I have recommended her for friends' weddings, each one with different taste and styles- every time, without fail, her artistry and creativity makes the event beautiful.
