I hired Lisa for a ten-session personal training package in my home, to kick-start my fitness journey after an extended illness. My experience with her has been wonderful. Lisa shows up on time and gets right to the warmup and work out. I set up some personal parameters that I wanted to work within, and she has designed our sessions within those. She is friendly, encouraging, and makes the workouts fun. She watches for form to prevent injury and gives tips on what to be cautious of to stay safe in different moves. We have integrated some yoga moves and even a bit of meditation at my request. I will be sorry to have our sessions end. Great job, Lisa!! Thank you for getting me on my way!
Jessica is a very good yoga teacher. I'm over 80 years old and enjoy her classes. I've been going to her classes for awhile now and will continue as long as I can. Jessica helped me keep up with my balance and keep my body limber. I really notice the difference whenever I take a break.
In November 2013, I suffered severe sudden hearing loss in my left ear. I had no pain, only loud ringing in the ear. Following a specialist's treatment plan--a steroid that may or may not have any effect, I was told--I felt the need to seek out a qualified Reiki healer as well. A first-time user of Thumbtack, I quickly found some professionals that I thought could help. I sent messages and received prompt responses. After careful consideration and a phone conversation, I chose Jeanette Chardon. The words "16 years experience in working with people who have serious or chronic illness--conditions often considered unsolvable" stood out because that's exactly what I was dealing with: a medical mystery. At our first session, Jeanette asked questions and listened to me, then got right to work. I relaxed body and mind. She started with a sage smudge and conducted a series of what I'd describe as universal prayers. I received heartfelt, skilled, intuitively focused Reiki. She played various noise-making instruments and an iPod recording. She made vocal intonations. She even sang at times (Jeanette has an amazing voice). All of Jeanette's creative methods of treatment were felt deeply on mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. From the get-go, Jeanette gave me to understand the importance and vitality of positive thinking. She communicated this in ways that had me smiling and laughing out loud at times. No more researching on the Internet about the disease! I was to focus on taking care of myself and making whatever little "shifts" I could in my ways of thinking. The homework she gave promoted meditative awareness, deep-breathing relaxation, positive affirmations and daily exercise, whatever I could manage. The first session was two hours; subsequent sessions were one hour in length. I soon experienced a breakthrough and my hearing began improving. I continued doing whatever I could to take care of myself. Both the audiologist and the Ear Nose Throat doctor were astounded by my recovery after two months, citing that most who suffer what I did only recover partial hearing, if any at all. The ENT used the word "miracle." Without a doubt, I know that Jeanette helped me heal during this very difficult time. I will continue working on myself as a client of Jeanette Chardon. She is Outstanding!
I have "dabbled" in spiritual studies and meditations and have had a go at fitness (gyms, yoga) several times in my life, but never to any success for satisfaction. I find that Brenn's Blend beautifully joins the mind and spirit in its class offerings, and I now understand why studying them as separate pursuits was not woking for me. I am finally creating a daily routine centered around wellness. It's changed my life!
Alissa taught yoga at our workplace. I am not new to yoga but havenât done much of it the last few years and Alissaâs class was a great way to get back into it again. Her verbal cues and demonstrations are clear and I felt like I learned a lot after just one class. She is so extremely helpful with assisting you as you bend, shift and twist your way into the poses... your comfort and proper form are one of her utmost focuses. I love that Alissa always asks her students if there is anything that someone would like to work on before the class begins. As others have noted here, she is very passionate about yoga and is dedicated to helping others reap its benefits and I would highly recommend trying her classes.
I have had a few Reiki healing sessions with Kaitlin, which have not only helped me physically relax and manage chronic pain, but also helped me create a relaxing mental space that I can revisit in my own meditation practice. Kaitlin has a very kind and loving energy and is a wonderful teacher and healer.
I liked my practice with Maigen, she's a fun and knowledgable instructor that offers a good balance between strengthening, flexibility, and meditation. She's a considerate leader and I felt that she was able to read the room well and also create a harmonious space to practice.
taken a number of yoga classes from Mary and she does an excellent job. Great at talking participants through the moves as well as breathing techniques. Able to assess the level of skill in the participants. Very gentle manner about her and high level of experience. I would not hesitate to recommend her as an instructor.
Cat is an amazing organizational trainer, life and work coach and trainer, hypnotherapist and teacher, and all around wise, ethical and trustworthy professional. I highly respect her and her work.
Kris is a wonderful yoga teacher. She stands apart because her focus is on longevity and proper alightment within the practice. She fine tunes each pose so it is safe and accessible for her students, while still maintaining a challenge. I look forward to her classes!
I was Luciana's yoga student for several years. She is treasure as a teacher. It is obvious that she has a very deep knowledge of yoga and the body after many years as a serious practitioner/teacher. She has great attention for individual students in a class. Luciana is a true artist in her approach. Thank you!
Becky is an amazing yoga teacher and is highly recommended by me. She makes you feel comfortable in the class and let's you go at your own pace. I always walk out of her class feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. She is my favorite yoga teacher out of all the yoga instructors I have ever had.
Madison helped me recover from a debilitating injury. She is a supportive, detail-oriented teacher. I highly recommend her!
Gail led us in a number of hour-long yoga practice sessions over skype. We scheduled our classes in advance and Gail was always punctual and handled the sessions in a fun but professional manner. Gail is an excellent teacher. We are not experienced in yoga and Gail was able to give us modifications on some moves so we were able to feel successful even though our skill level and flexibility was limited. She didn't want us to have any injuries but wanted us to be able to practice at our own level. Our experience was wonderful but it would have been better if we were practicing yoga in person with her in her studio in Warren, OR. Thank you Gail we had an awesome experience.
Eilee is a kind, gracious, and humble teacher, and I am always refreshed after practicing with her. Love this lady's generous spirit and thoughtful approach to yoga.
Joshua was an incredible resource for our local spiritual community at Lewis & Clark College, both for facilitating discussion and leading group meditations. His language is wholesomely accessible to people of many backgrounds, and his encouragement is felt strongly on the individual level as well.
Amanda's yoga classes are the best! My boyfriend (a previously firm non-yogi) have had instruction from Amanda in the park- she tailored a perfect class with more challenging poses and flows for me and safe but challenging movements for him. Now he asks to do yoga! I always leave a session with Amanda feeling strong, relaxed, and recharged. She teaches with a perfect balance of humor, encouragement, and intuitiveness.
Shanti Webley is an excellent teacher! I have been training Tai Chi for many years, and Webley was able to crystalize my understanding and more importantly, my experience of Chi... I can say this man has changed my life for the better and opened a powerful universe to my innerstanding!
