FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use square foot pricing for some projects. I have a chart I follow that is based on size and complexity. It ranges from $10 to $70 per square foot. The larger the mural gets the smaller the cost is per square foot. Other times I'll use a day rate of $300 per day and modify it from there. I have a design fee based on $45 per hour. I don't offer discounts, but there are often ways to save money by simplifying the design, such as using less colors, or less detail.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is listening to ideas and concepts and determining the scope of the project. Then we'll come up with a plan of action and a timeline for completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a certificate in Visual Communication from a two year continuing education program at The Pacific Northwest College of Art. I’ve also worked as a house painter, graphic designer, decorative artist, and an illustrator which has given me lots of valuable experience.
