My 10 year old son started taking piano lessons with Deanna Maio at Confident Voice Studios a couple of months ago, and she has done a terrific job connecting with him and helping him advance his piano practice. We highly recommend Deanna!

I met Zach at the 2015 KC Bass Workshop, where he was the main electric bass teacher. Zach did a fantastic job at instructing a small group of electric bassists of differing experience and skill levels, making the workshop both challenging and a lot of fun. His patient, relaxed, organized teaching style brought out our motivation and creativity and led to a final performance that received many compliments from the audience. He is also a fantastic performer on stage, as I was fortunate enough to catch the last show with his band Mouth. I would definitely take bass lessons from Zach if given the opportunity!

Helen, was AMAZING, she taught my 6 yr daughter her first piano lesson. We were going to try out a few different teachers, but after meeting her, I have no interest going anywhere else. Thank you for being so friendly and so talented! <3 A few things that were important to me were, 1. She could connect with my 6 year old. 2. That she could teach syllabus. 3. That she has opportunities for her students to perform during the year. She met all three of those. :)

I started taking his piano lessons only about a month ago, but it''s been such a great joy to work with him. He constantly assesses my weaknesses and strengths, and plans my lessons accordingly. He also listens carefully to what I like and what I want to do, too. I live a bit far from his studio, but it's totally worth it. I highly recommend him!

I'm a beginning guitarist and have thoroughly enjoyed Rick as a teacher. He has a straightforward and relaxed teaching style. Rick willingly incorporates any song, artist, or style I mention in the lessons. One particular element of his teaching that benefits my progression a lot is music theory. Even though I don't immediately understand all he teaches, the gradual addition of these theory lessons is paying off.

I take guitar lessons from Sam and she is phenomenal! When I first came to her, I didn't even know how to hold a guitar and was VERY nervous...nervous I wouldn't be good, nervous I wouldn't progress fast enough as was expected...just nervous! Sam put me completely at ease from the very beginning. She still continues to make it clear that the most important thing about my lessons is that I am having fun...that and learning, of course! Sam is a brilliant guitar player who has studied under some of the best, but she is very humble and makes me feel like we are "equals." I absolutely could not have taken lessons from anyone better! Check her out. You will NOT be disappointed.

When we arrived for the initial consultation for singing lessons and my daughter saw the piano, she asked if she could take piano lessons first. So, we're now taking piano lessons from Bonnie. I find her to work very well with kids, my daughter is 8, and my daughter likes her and is happy too. She explains things clearly, gives praise when earned, and is helpful and pleasant to work with.

I took piano lessons from Geoff 2 years ago and unfortunately due to financial issues had to quit. For the months that I was able to be taught by him, I loved how patient he was with me as well as the materials he gave me. I would definitely return to him if I was able to do so in the future

Alf is great teacher! I am very happy to have found him on Thumbtack. I started taking guitar lessons from him having no techinical knowledge in music or ability to play the guitar. He came to the store to help pick my first guitar! Barely 2 months into taking classes now, I can play several chords and maybe even a full song if I tried. He shows passion in teaching. His lessons are very clear for a beginner and he is genuinely interested in my progress. I high recommend Alf to anyone looking for guitar lessons.

I highly recommend Tim as a cello teacher! I've taken cello lessons from Tim for almost 3 years. I started at age 44 with more than a little apprehension having had less than ideal experiences as a kid with a few piano teachers. I wanted to learn to play a lot of tv/movie soundtrack music as well as the more standard classical tunes. Tim's sense of humor and easy-going demeanor combined with his vast knowledge of musical theory plus his skill as a cellist are the perfect combination to inspire and draw me forward in my learning. He knows how to apply enough challenge plus enough encouragement to help even the older student excel to the best of their ability.

I’ve been seeing Haley for about 2 months now for vocal lessons. She is super professional and helps me so much with finding my voice. I have so much more confidence and skill after working with her. She is extremely talented and I feel so lucky to have her as a coach. She works really hard on helping me find my sound and making me feel comfortable and confident with my voice.

Lessons are for my son. He has an excellent ear for music, and is able to learn quickly. He has has a guitar for about a month, ans has taught himself a number of chords. He is eager to learn more, and I believe he would benefit greatly from formal lessons.
