Patrick did a great job and on really short notice! He eradicated a wasp nest in my gutter and sprayed around my house foundation for ants. He also gave me some indoor ant treatment with detailed instructions. I am quite satisfied with the services he provided and I would definately recommend him to friends and neighbors. Thanks again Patrick!

Very professional and curtious service. Arrived on time and resolved my issue quickly. Not a fan of locking you into a service contract, but I understand that pest removal is not a one and done approach.

Wayfare Pest Solutions is by far the best company you can use for your rodent/pest removal. I hired them to take care of a rat issue we had and they were able to come out same day every time I called and have the best prices and results by far. Other companies that do the same thing will charge over $250 for a set up plus $100 per rat the removed which is ridiculous. Wayfare charged me far less without charging me $100 per rat and will come out as many times as they need over 3 months, and don't force you to sign up for their service.

Josh Ragan was quick to respond to our ant infestation. He also completed the job under a week and was very professional. He provided information that was important to understanding how ant populations grow and the process for their erradication. We definitely recommend his services to anyone with an ant problem.

Very professional! I learned so much about pests and what to keep an eye on. The bugs I was concerned about ended up being harmless, but I got a lot of tips on how to get rid of wasps, how to spot a carpenter ant, and what my options are if it comes down to getting rid of them. Thank you so much!

Mark has made my house ant invaders evacuate (or die). He has also treated my inlaw unit for fleas which I had tried to get rid of by myself for a month and he wiped them out in a day. He dealt with my squirrels at my rental house and although it took more than one visit he stayed on them and they know longer enter the attic. I would highly recommend him!

Wild Bee and Pest Solutions have been great to work with for over a year. We will definitely continue to work with them. We found the operator to respond quickly. He was very patient with our children and furry friends. Ongoing treatment has left us ant free. We also unfortunately had to be treated for fleas and with one treatment we still remain flea free. Highly recommend them to anyone.

I'm thankful for Ryan! I noticed a major ant problem and needed it fixed right away! He called and emailed me to schedule an appt within 24 hours from my initial inquiry. I work during the day so he was able to come by in the evening when I was available. He was friendly and professional. After showing me the service options and what that entailed he got right to fixing the problem. I can't wait to never see ants in my house again! He also went around the house and inside the garage getting rid of spider webs and he found a wasps nest near my front door, yikes! Great experience. I would definitely recommend this company.

All About Ants is awesome! I found them online and called because of an ant and spider problem which became out of control. I immediately got a response to my call from Dan, the owner of All About Ants. He scheduled my service for the very next day and I was so pleased to meet him and his partner Chris. After doing an extensive assessment of my home they explained the treatment protocol that they had reccomended to eliminate the pests from my home. Dan and Chris proceeded with the treatment and carefully covered all areas of my home. They were very thorough and professional. Within a day I began to see evidence that the crawling critters were no longer crawling! Since the treatment I have had no evidence of new ants or spiders. I would highly reccomend All About Ants to those who want to quickly and economically rid their home of crawling pests! They are responsive, professional, very timely and really nice guys!

I am trying to review Damon Vlietstra who removed a dead rat from under my house. His fee was lower than some other quotes, he is really nice and thorough. He arrived when he said he would and says he likes helping people even though he has to crawl under houses. He can be reached at Im5033325725@gmail.com A and B services

I had used this company in the past to take care of some ants and spiders. I called and spoke with Michael who was very kind and answered all my questions. His prices are fair (especially with the combo treatments). I would highly recommend hiring him! I couldn't be happier with the results.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What do pest control companies do?

Pest control companies handle all aspects of bug, rodent and animal extermination or removal. Pest control professionals visit your home or office to identify the type of pest that is troubling you and offer various treatment plans — complete with clearly outlined costs. Once you and the pest control company have a signed agreement, the pro will begin treatment. Pest treatment can range from the use of spray pesticides and gel bait to live and/or kill traps. There are a wide range of types of pesticides, many of them nontoxic for humans and other small animals. This means you may be able to have your home treated for pests without harming nearby wildlife or your dog and cat. The pest control pro will carry out the treatment plan and, depending on the service agreement, provide follow-up such as emptying traps, inspecting access points, or reapplying pesticide spray if the pests return. Costs will vary based on the type of pest you are having removed and the extent of the infestation. The average national pest control price range is $80-$130. From a minor bedbug event to an entire home termite infestation, pest control companies have got you covered.

How much does it cost to treat a house for termites?

Termites are not only creepy-crawly, they can literally eat your house out from underneath you. Termites feed on damp and dry wood and can chomp through your house at an alarming rate. The national average pest control cost for termite extermination is $240-$400. Treatment costs can be higher for an extensive infestation. Here are some examples of average pest control costs for termites:

    • Liquid treatment of subterranean termites: $3-$4 per linear foot.
      • For $75 per year, a company may offer a maintenance plan that provides inspection of the property and renewal of the warranty.
    • Liquid treatment of subterranean termites: approximately $400 for a 2,000-square-foot home at $3-$5 per linear foot.
      • The price is higher for additional work such as foaming and drilling inside of concrete slabs.
    • Fumigation treatment of drywood termites: $1,200-$1,500 for a 30,000- to 35,000-cubic-foot home
      • Fumigation is measured in cubic feet because it fills the airspace of the home and infiltrates the wood that the termites may be colonizing. The cost of fumigation is affected by the number of levels in the home as well as the square footage.

How much does it cost to get rid of cockroaches?

Cockroaches are not only ugly, they are difficult to get rid of. Quick and resilient, they can be hard to get rid of without professional help once they have inhabited a house. Nationally, the average range for cockroach pest control cost is $80-$130. Extermination professionals typically provide a free estimate to determine the extent of the infestation. They’ll check for the main sources of the bugs, identify bug access and entry points into your home, and determine the best method for elimination. There are a variety of cockroach extermination tools including gel baits and traps, pesticide foggers, desiccants (which dry out the cockroaches), neurotoxins, and other pesticides. Pest control costs can also cover preventive measures like regular spraying and trap maintenance. Some regions of the country are much more prone to cockroach problems than others, so pest control costs may need to be part of your quarterly budget. Cockroaches love dark, humid, and warm areas and water sources, so place traps near your washer and dryer and under your sinks.

How much does it cost to remove a mouse?

If you have a mouse in your house you’re probably quickly researching pest control costs. Mice, although tiny, can transmit diseases and also get into your food and leave unsanitary droppings around your home. If you have seen one mouse in your house, it’s likely that more have taken up residence in your crawl space, attic or basement. The national average pest control cost is $150-$200. Costs can vary depending on whether you need to get rid of a population of living mice or just dispose of a dead mouse (or full traps), how extensive the mouse population is, and where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pest control cost for removing a mouse:

    • $150 for initial trap setup and inspection (and sealing of entry holes).
      • $50 for rodent removal service calls and emptying of traps. This visit can also include identifying and sealing entry points that were not sealed on the first visit.
    • Rodent extermination: $110-$350, depending on how heavy the rodent population is, whether the mouse infestation poses health risks, how many entrances exist and how many rodent bait stations are needed.

How much does it cost to get a pest inspection?

In general there is no cost for a pest inspection. Exterminators typically provide a free property or building inspection and then provide you with a written estimate outlining the necessary treatment and cost. The home visit allows the exterminator to assess the problem and let you know what your pest control cost will be if you contract with their services. You may need a termite inspection for real estate purposes. This will be a verified inspection showing that the house in question is termite-free (often done before a sale). The inspection may cost a flat rate, such as $125-$150, depending on house size.

It’s hard to predict pest control costs sight unseen due to the variety of factors that go into pest treatment. For example, a bedbug problem for one customer may be confined to one room and be easy to access and treat in one visit if the room is clear of clutter and the bedbugs have been caught early. In another home, a bedbug problem may also be confined to one room, but there’s a great deal of clutter, providing more hiding places for the bugs and requiring more spray and labor for the exterminator, as well as many pieces of large furniture in the room that need to sprayed. Depending on the maturity of the infestation, a bedbug problem may require multiple visits to entirely eliminate. This is why many companies provide a free inspection to determine pest control costs and provide you the most accurate quote possible.
