Josh and his partner Moses were amazing. They were highly responsive and provided me with a fair estimate for a small kitchen remodel. The timeframe they were able to work in was ideal and the job turn-around fast, although the work wasn't rushed in the least. The quality of CWAG's demo/install is top-notch and their attention to detail is obvious. Everything looks beautiful down to the grout on the tile backsplash. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended!
Fixed out running toilet, put in a new kitchen faucet and fixed our outdoor hose attachment. Did the work fast and efficiently. I would recommend :)
Chris was very good with communication regarding scheduling and also very accommodating. He arrived on time and did excellent work! We will definitely have him back for upcoming projects around our home. He installed our outdoor motion sensor lights and thermostat and we are going to have him back for installation of our kitchen faucet in the near future! We recommnd Chris, he's very nice, does quality work and is quite professional!!
John and his team did an amazing job on our kitchen tile backsplash. We were pleased from start to finish with his communication, prompt work, cleanup and pricing. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for home improvements.
Daniel did all the work for a competitive price. Responded to texts/calls promptly. He had everything he needed for the job, was careful in the house where I just had the new wood floor. He also made the recommendation on another door to me to match the both side color in the kitchen. He didn't charge you with tiny things, attention to details. I would definitely recommend. Daniel is a fantastic professional. I'd hire him again to do another project such as the tile backsplash.
I hired NEAGA REMODELING to complete some woodworking trim work in my kitchen. Danial built an amazing wood wall using my leftover Bamboo from my flooring project, MASTERPIECE !!! He installed kick plates to the under cabinets also using leftover flooring, (he was skillfully able to recreate the pieces of wood to fit & look perfectly, using incredible focus to detail & my satisfaction & repurposing what I'd already purchased which kept my cost of material list at FREE..very nice !! Daniel & his wife are lovely lovely people & a privilege to know. I am quite particular & am very happy ! 😊😊😊😊😊 Thank you very very much !
These guys did all my laminate and tile in my kitchen. It is beautiful. They are very fair and trust worthy. I highly recommend them.
Lino did an excellent job of cleaning up and preparing my rental house for occupancy after it was vacated without being properly cleaned or cared for. He did major cleaning in the kitchen, painting and wall touch-up in the living room, minor cupboard and storm window repair; and cleaning of gutters and debris left behind by previous tenants. He came to the job exactly at the time promised, worked diligently, and completed the work on time. He asked me about a couple of things I had overlooked--and agreed to take care of them. I was completely satisfied with the quality, time required, and cost of the work Lino completed. I will definitely use him again and have no reservations in commending him for the good work he did on my house.
A1 did a fantastic job on my small kitchen remodel. In my initial consult, Brad listened to what I wanted to accomplish and was able to suggest some design improvements as well. The team was professional and completed the job on schedule and at budget. Overall a great value. I highly recommend.
I just completed a condo remodel for a client in SW Portland. I worked with the client to help her design and project manage the work from start to finish. Part of the process is partnering with General Contractors to undertake the work. This project included a kitchen remodel, (new cabinets, quartz, appliances etc) new flooring and painting throughout. Ben was selected as the contractor to do the work for a variety of reasons. He was responsive, communicated well, his rates were good and he committed to get the work done in just over 3 weeks so they could list the property on the market. Ben worked long hours to achieve this, was flexible throughout the process and listened well. In this case he was managing my expectations and meeting the needs of the client. The work got achieved on time, within budget and the client is very happy with the end result. I would certainly use Ben again on another client project. Thank you!
In these days and times it is rare to find old world craftsmanship and punctuality. D&I did a tile backsplash for our kitchen. They incorporated our ideas and theirs for beautiful finish. Highly recommend. The G&B team
Jonathon is a very hard working and professional. He did a kitchen tile project for me and it turned out spectacular! Jonathon is a guy that does what he says he will do and more. I would highly recommend him for his attention to detail and job commitment.
Our total kitchen remodel is fabulous. We could't be happier. Steve and Steve are very knowledgeable and professional. Their bids were very fair and reasonable too...way better than the other bids I got for the same job.
Anatolie replace some kitchen tile for us. He did a high-quality job at a very reasonable price. I would definitely hire him again.
Trish is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in her field. She listens to her clients needs and ideas. And always ready with creative suggestions only a true professional can perceive. I am so excited about my new kitchen design plan she created for my 1972 home. Thank you Trish! I highly recommend her.
Brian and his crew remodeled our kitchen and bathroom, we had an idea of what we wanted done, but with Brian's input and design sense, we wound up with a final product that was beyond our expectations. The work was done in a timely manner and right within our budget. We will use Brian again when it is time to remodel the second bathroom.
The best thing we ever did was to hire De Marco Builders to remodel our kitchen and add bamboo hardwood flooring in our newly purchased 1982 condo in NW Portland. This was a downsize for us and most likely the last home we will ever purchase. This should have been an easy job, but there were some surprising structural problems we inherited. De Marco Builders wasn't fazed a bit! Joe and his amazing crew jumped right in to make our kitchen perfect! They worked long into the night to make sure we could move in on time. The whole job took less than 10 days. Joe has great instincts on design and was a huge help to us when we were having trouble deciding which cabinets, counter tops, backsplash and flooring would be right. He has a lot of experience and knows what works and what doesn't work. He was very honest with his opinions, which, I appreciated very much. It was important to Joe that everything was perfect for us. He seriously took our happiness to heart in every aspect of the remodel. Joe De Marco was always available and stayed in constant contact with us. Our kitchen is beautiful and our hardwood floors are solid and stunning!! We couldn't be more thrilled!! Even though our job is finished, we plan to stay in touch with Joe. He's that kind of guy!!
We hired JDR Builders for our kitchen & bathroom remodel. John worked with our budget, delivered on time, and we're happy with the end result. We'll be calling JDR Builders back for when we move into our next place. Thank you.
Chuck remodeled my kitchen and dining room -- he installed new counter tops, new cabinets, did some drywall work, installed new flooring and new appliances. The entire project went without a hitch and the end result was awesome. He and his crew were very professional, responsive and brought many good suggestions to the table that offered great value to the project and greatly increased our satisfaction. We can't recommend him enough!
In every way possible, Finic Cabinetry has been a pleasure to work with. They have helped us design countless kitchens, mudrooms, vanities and fireplace shelving. Their entire team is excellent at what they do, kind to work with and some of the best problem solvers out there. Easy to work with and quick to deliver, they make it all look easy. Even after install, their customer service is top notch. It will clearly be a long relationship. We love them
This will be a relatively long review. The reason is because I own and operate a business in the contracting field (custom cabinetry) so I am able to review this company from the perspective of a client, but also from someone who knows the industry well and the anxiety that people feel when looking to hire contractors for projects. I understand that many people have a difficult time evaluating overall VALUE when making major home purchases. We all know that the cheapest option isn't always the best one, but how do you determine where your money is best spent? So I'm laying out this review from that perspective. For those who don't want to read on...I would highly recommend Roraima and we will be using them again for additional home projects. PROJECT: We wanted to remove a window and door from a wall in our dining kitchen area. The window looked directly into a neighbors fence and the door is never used. We plan to put a custom bar/cabinetry and artwork on the newly closed wall. We have plenty of natural light from other doors, windows and skylights. Will likely post final pictures once cabinetry is done:) QUOTE PROCESS: I love Thumbtack and there aren't many remodel companies using them in Portland. I hope that grows, it's a great process. Anyway, Roraima responded to my request within 1 business day and we had a time set up for Jose and Tony to come out within 2 days to evaluate the overall project more thoroughly. Jose and Tony showed up on-time and were very respectful of our space and time. They were personable, but efficient. A quote was given via email within 1 business day and it was clear what was included in the quote and what was not included. When they were at our home, Tony made sure to be clear about what areas they knew might be tricky (matching our ceiling texture) and how cost might be added (once the wall was opened up, unexpected things can pop up). Since I'm in the industry, I'm well aware of how you don't know "what's behind the wall" until it's opened, so I did expect that complications can arise once that occurs. We asked where there was some opportunity to reduce overall costs once we received the quote and through that discussion, decided to remove the existing cabinet ourselves (which was easy). WORK PROCESS: Again, Tony and Jose showed up on-time the first day and got straight to work FIRST with blocking off the work area from the rest of our open living room. The tools and care they use to reduce dust to the rest of the home is awesome! I'm in a lot of home remodels and I've never seen the specific tools they use (the posts they use to keep the plastic tight to create their own "room" and the zipper they put in to create a door for closing off fully). Plus, at the end of the day, they left their own work area super clean (photo shown). I appreciate people who work like that. They said "it's like a chefs kitchen". The work took longer than they expected, but they clearly communicated why and what they were doing as they went along. We were heading out of town so it didn't matter to us if it took a couple extra days, which we communicated ahead of time. There were a couple additional costs that came up, but they were communicated ahead of time to be approved by us. We increased the amount of new insulation to be used, as the old insulation wasn't adequate or quality in some parts and we shifted a couple other things based on the new cabinet design. ABOVE and BEYOND: As mentioned, we went out of town while they were working. On the first day we left, the dog sitter ended up getting tied up and coming later than expected. She didn't let us know that. At the end of the work day, Tony texted me to let us know they were done for the day but that our dog hadn't been outside since we left. He asked if we'd like him to let her out. That meant them staying longer after a very long work day, but he offered because they like our dog and are genuinely caring human beings. It was such a great thing to know that we had two strangers (essentially) in our home and that not only did we need to not worry about our space, they were also looking out for our precious four legged family member! He even sent a video of her relieving herself so that we knew she was doing well. FINAL RESULTS: Great experience and value overall for sure! We had a cheaper quote, but the contractor was slow to get back to us and answer any questions. He was personable, but he didn't take the time to explain where issues could arise and how they would be handled. Those are HUGE value points for me, knowing how so many small remodelers can often be terrible with communication. That was not the case here at all. I also get the feeling that this is a crew that if they can't do something well, they'll tell you that. I don't see them saying yes to a project they can't tackle and do well, which to me is also a sign of a good company. Highly recommended.
