I have worked with Jake for a short time but having worked with other personal trainers it was quickly obvious Jake is highly skilled and knowledgeable in his craft. He knows just how & when to encourage & when to push to get you the results you are looking for while making you feel good about yourself. Because of his efforts, I feel stronger, more energetic, I have better balance, less discomfort throughout the day, & most importantly working out has become fun & something I look forward to. I was extremely hesitant about working with a personal trainer, for more than one reason... and I am SO glad I took the leap. I wouldn’t want to work with any one else. Jake pushes me, he makes me feel comfortable, he not only helps you reach your goals but creates a friendship, answers any questions I have, isn’t afraid to kick my butt into shape and have fun - it’s actually fun. Jacob not only is super respectful, but also extremely helpful and understanding when it comes to the strengthening & fat loss goals I have set for myself. He does a great job helping me push through my resistance, but also give me great ideas on things I can do at home on my own time. I appreciate how professional he is and fun at the same time. I enjoy being able to get to the gym with trainer Jacob, even when he makes me do things I dont particularly like to do.Dec 15, 2017
I have been training with Jake for about 4 months. I can say he is the best trainer I've had. And I've been through a few. What I can say about Jake: I feel like he's got my back. Any trainer can push you to work hard and make you do a hard workout. What I like about Jake is that he can push me but knows when I should also pull back and rest. He is wonderful with stretches! He is also very fit and a good coach. The two qualities together make for an exceptionally effective trainer. His passion for fitness shows. Jake is also a good communicator. That doesn't mean he's always chatty or got a slick front but he's very good at reading his clients and seeks to understand and listen to you. He's a good read of people. I also don't feel judged by Jake like I have with other trainers. He's a super great guy who treated my initial difficulties working out with empathy, compassion and flexibility. With Jake, I had come back to working out again after a physical setback and had put on the most weight I'd ever gained. I am also a woman in her fifties and weight is the hardest to get off than previously for me. In three months he's helped me reduce all my measurements! And last but not least, Jake is a professional. He shows it in his voice, conversation and his attitude. Do not look any further for a trainer! Jake is the best.Apr 10, 2018

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing is based on the client doing 1- 60 minute training session per week. *Rates are discounted for clients training multiple times per week. *Partner and Small Group Training are available at separate rates. *I also offer 30 minute WEIGHT LOSS training sessions at a lower training price. All clients are eligible to receive workout programming and nutritional guidance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?The new client process is as follows: Prior to our first meeting, you will be asked to complete a Health Screening document, as well as a Fitness Questionnaire. Next, we will schedule a complimentary Fitness Assessment, where we will discuss your specific goals, any injuries or health concerns. Then I will have you perform 8-10 functional movements so that I can better understand where you are at and know where to begin with our training. At that time I will also take measurements, weight and body fat measurements if the client prefers.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a nationally certified personal trainer. I was certified originally through NESTA (National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association.) I also have a certification in Sports Nutrition. I worked for a health club as a personal trainer for 2 years. I was then promoted to a Fitness Manager to oversee and educate and improve the training staff. Following that I was promoted and was the Club Manager for another 2 years. I remained active and have trained clients for the past 6 years. I have competed in Physique Bodybuilding in 2013, trained and competed with a powerlifitng team as well. I have completed a marathon, half marathons, and have also done Crossfit.
