I liked how the answer explanations were very in-depth and something that you will never be able to get just from a prep book. Scheduling for sessions was very flexible and Jennifer would often go overtime to help me understand difficult stuff. Jennifer also helped me make the decision between SAT and ACT as I started out studying for the ACT but then turns out that the SAT suited me better so it saved me lots of time. Overall Jennifer is a very honest, helpful, genuine, experienced, and caring tutor and I would definitely recommend her not just for anyone who is trying to test prep but in general for people who are trying to have a time learning.
Im 14 years old and I have mrs dickerson as my algebra teacher. I came in at a D and the first test I had after he had helped me for about a month I got a high B. It's really easy to ask him questions and the way he explains a.problem or question is very clear to understand. The enviornment is really relaxed. I didnt want a tutor but im glad that hes the one I got.
Keith brought my daughter's SAT score up considerably. He focused on the area she needed to work on and showed her how to prepare for the test. I was very pleased with his tutoring.
AB Calculus help. Very knowledgeable about every field covered in the class and can easily adapt to whatever will help the most. Very helpful for test prep along with homework help.
My Granddaughter was very anxious about taking the ASVAB test for the military. She had practiced and could not score high enough. After meeting with Richelle, our girl had gained an obvious new confidence and scored 70% on the test. Thank you Richelle.
Kate helped me prepare for the GRE math test and was very helpful. She is patient, understanding, collaborative, and very intuitive in her tutoring. Beyond being brilliant in her math skills, Kate is a great person who genuinely feels invested in your growth and success.
Dr. Judkins is an excellent teacher. Only after a few lessons with him, my son had a significant improvement in ACT reading, from 19 questions wrong to 2 questions wrong in official practice tests. We are looking forward to seeing other big improvements in his future college level lessons with Dr. Judkins.
Kisha and tutorial staff went above and beyond to ensure that our children got the optimum experience. We are so appreciative that at times, it would take til late at night to make sure my son and daughter got good grades on their tests. Their scores improved greatly.
Elissa Hare is an excellent tutor. She made my daughter feel welcome, at ease, and capable of accomplishing any task. We visited Elissa primarily for help with math homework and tests; she was always prepared for whatever assignment my daughter was given. If they ran out of math work to do, Elissa would not waste a moment of time. She would have my daughter digging through her backpack for other homework she could help with. Before going to Elissa, we had considered Sylvan or Kumon. Elissa, however, was able to provide more expertise, as well as a one-on-one environment that was far more suited to our needs.
After our one on one interview with Joey, we knew right away Joey would be a perfect fit to work with my son on SAT prep. We found Joey to be very professional, trustworthy, persistence, caring, smart, and very pleasant to talk to and work with. The system/program that Joey used to work with my son worked well and very thorough, it is tailored to my son’s needs. By the end of the program, my son picked up so many helpful skills working with Joey, for examples, reading comprehension which my son really struggled with for the longest time and strategies on tests taking that he can applied in school. My son’s SAT score has improved significantly by over 130 points working with Joey over a short period, that put him in the 90 percentiles. Additionally, not only Joey worked with my son on SAT prep, he was also a good mentor and really motivated my son to do well and recognized my son’s potentials. More importantly, my son gained more confidence and less anxiety going into the real test. On that note, I highly recommended Joey to any parents who is looking for someone to work with their child with SAT help or simply want to boost SAT scores to attracts those Ivy League schools and more scholarships! I was very pleased with Joey. Andrea
Andrew was a fantastic tutor. As someone who’s always struggled in math it was nice to have someone who didn’t make me feel judged for not understanding the subject as well as he does. Andrew was able to help me with math that I had forgotten years ago and completely refresh my memory along with giving me the necessary tools to be able to go home and re-create problems to work on and practice on before my big test. Five gold stars ⭐️
As someone who hated math and thought I wasn't a "math" person, she showed me I could be. She is extremely patient and a wonderful teacher with endless energy for your success. When I started seeing her my grades in college, and self confidence on tests both vastly improved. I would recommend her for all age groups!
When I was struggling with my math on GRE testing, Allan helped me in the most efficient and generous way. I cannot thank him enough. For each problem I was facing, he explained each step in the most precise and clear manner. He was also really good at providing me useful ways to remember formulas and tips, which I got to memorize for the actual testing. Thank you so much!
Really broke the topics I was having trouble with down so i could understand them and helped me prepare for the tests that were coming up. Overall a huge help and if I need help next year with anything I will be asking him for help first.
Eve tutored my daughter in SAT prep for three months.
Very, very helpful. I highly recommend Scott for his thorough, careful tutoring. He does a great job of focusing on areas that need improvement, and is encouraging and challenging throughout. Worthwhile.
We were pleased with the work Miriam did with our son. She helped him analyse the mistakes he'd made on the PSAT and helped him learn strategies to avoid making similar ones in the future. I'll let you know if he gets a scholarship !

I'm a former journalist who loves working with children of all ages, whether eight or 58. I've been working as a tutor and teacher doing SAT and ACT test prep for national organizations like Kaplan, as well as local private schools. I'm equally proficient in SAT-level math, reading and writing, and have experience working with children with learning differences like dyslexia. My experience as a journalist also makes me an excellent writing tutor for anyone who wants to improve their expository, persuasive and/or creative writing talents. I've taught SAT-level math since 2012, with a particular fondness for geometry. I'm familiar and comfortable with everything below that level, from basic addition and multiplication to Algebra 1.
