Jen is a warm and compassionate person, and a skilled counselor for couples/families and individuals alike. Her Emotion-Focused Therapy background really helps couples understand each other's feelings and find new ways of communicating.
Scott is very down to earth and earnest in his approach to help couples have a happier and healthier relationship. Our first meeting we discussed or goals for therapy and Scott gave my husband and I a run down on his background and experience. Since then we have been working on basic issues such as communication, budgeting and finances, things we value and find important. Overall, I feel this has strengthened our relationship and made it so we appreciate one another more. I'm really glad we found Scott. He's been a great help.
I came to Cheryl for child abandonment and other issues relating to my early childhood. I have never had any type of therapy before, and with Cheryls calm presence, I immediately felt very comfortable. She carefully listened to what I was experiencing, and soon recommended a course of treatment which included visualizations and regression therapy. Cheryl helped me immensely with all my childhood issues I am now the happiest I have ever been. She is highly trained and very knowledgeable in her field, and I highly recommend her!
My experience with Terry Daggett was one of the best of my life. We really clicked as a therapist/patient couple. It's possible if I wouldn't have met Terry, I wouldn't have any kind of relationship with my mother... but today she is my best friend. I never thought that to be possible. Terry helped me look inside myself and at relationships to help make them better. Amazing work. Wish I was still near her to see her today.
I've been exploring different methods to manage anxiety and a general feeling of "stuckness". Shanna was very in-tuned to what was troubling me and put into words some feelings of mine that I was not totally aware of (which can be and was a very healing process itself). Some psychological shifts resulted from meeting with Shanna, which was an added bonus to the physical/energetic shifts that took place. I saw Shanna this past winter and still repeat many of her wise words to myself regularly. Thank you Shanna :)
I have chronic pain in my hip and neck. Dr. Clark was very attentive to my specific needs. One of the bonuses of treatment from a chiropractor is that he could feel where I was having sympathetic pains that I didn't even tell him about. It's more than just a knowledge of basic anatomy. The difference is an understanding of the musculoskeletal system and his holistic approach. For the first time in months, I am pain free (48 hours and counting without my pain medication!)
Dana is one of those rare gems of a therapist; she has her heart fully engaged and has the amazing insight and intuition to be able to help you where you need it most. I've referred at least 5 clients to her-my closest and dearest family and friends- and had incredible feedback. She is very loved! Her intelligence shows in her gentle, caring therapeutic processes. She walks her talk; again I find this to be very rare. I trust her completely and feel 100% at ease sharing anything. She has great empathy and is extremely supportive. I highly recommend her for any situation. You will not be disappointed.
Shantika is a skilled professional and a compassionate healer. I have found her emphasis on addressing feelings through the body is an excellent adjunct to traditional talk therapy in my own personal growth work. She uses a range of modalities that are very effective, but not as well know in the US - Family Constellation and Rosen, in particular. She is also an excellent massage therapist if the issue is simply sore or tight muscles.
My partner and I are very excited to begin counseling sessions with Angela. We had a free consultation with her and we both loved her! She is very calming, compassionate and understanding. Everything she had to say was very supportive and made us very happy we found her.
Krystal is a highly empathetic person and a calming presence. None of that high-minded psychobabble, she is all natural straight talk, but with the utmost gentleness and tact.
Jacquelyn's word speak to the soul and move us forward to realize our full potential as humans!
Jennifer came highly recommended to me and she lived up to every expectation. Deeply grounded, thoughtful, a wise and insightful counselor. I have already recommended her to several others.

I'm committed to the best possible care for my clients. To me this means that I'm focused not only on outcomes but also process - ensuring that clients feel as though they are progressing towards their goals, that they are learning about themselves and their relationships, and that they are gaining and implementing effective tools for life. I want to make sure that what we do together is sustainable, realistic, and achievable. When obstacles appear, I'm not afraid of identifying and tackling them in order to reduce the chances of falling back into old, destructive patterns. Finally, I have a high standard for the work that I do because I recognize that others' lives and relationships are being affected by the counseling process.
I have lived and worked in the Portland Metro area since 1995 after spending my childhood and undergraduate years on the East Coast. During this time, I have worked in both the private and public sectors, with children, adults and families. I work with clients and families with struggles including; relational difficulties, family conflicts, mood disorders, self-esteem, anxiety and the effects of trauma. I also work often with those who are seeking overall peace, mastery and true meaning in their life. I assist clients with building hope and learning safe ways to cope and function so they can find their own success and truth as individuals, partners and/or family systems. My passion is to help clients feeling stuck to explore and create new solutions when others have not worked. I have worked for many years with children, adults and families who have struggled with complex and long term mental health needs often combined with substance use and abuse and or/trauma. I have long term experience working with families who have come together through foster care or adoption. I also enjoy supporting adolescents/young adults with developing and practicing successful transitions to adulthood and independence. My overall therapeutic approach is based in mindfulness and awareness building techniques. I also integrate a wide variety of other approaches depending on the individual needs of each client. These approaches include; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques, Family Systems Theory, CBT, Attachment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving emotionally-focused techniques and trauma-based approaches. In my role, I support clients with identifying the source of struggles, and learning effective ways to manage symptoms and develop their own meaning of success. I support clients in defining and honoring their individual needs, beliefs, values and goals. I aim to provide a space for them to explore what is and is not working and to develop tools that assist them in moving toward a better overall quality of life. I work with clients to provide them a safe space to check in, explore and process life's struggles. Over the years, I have been able to build strong relationships with community mental health providers, state agencies, educational and court systems in Washington, Multnomah and Clackamas Counties. I have worked directly with providers at many levels of care including day treatment, psychiatric residential, and state hospital. My years of experience include working with clients from a wide array of backgrounds including; cultural and sexual minority groups, clients from a variety of religious and economic backgrounds, and clients who have experienced significant trauma.
