About

I had guitar lessons with Aaron for several years, and I highly recommend him as a teacher. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and very encouraging; he motivates you to do your best and takes a more creative, interesting approach to teach music (for example, I learned a lot about musical improvisation and composition, in addition to classical and spanish guitar techniques). He is one of the best teachers I have ever had—if you take lessons with him and are reasonably motivated, he will absolutely help you succeed in your musical goals.

Great teacher! I began taking guitar lessons from Jason about six years ago and I have grown a tremendous amount as a guitarist from his teaching. About

I'm a senior learner that has used several instructors in my years of learning guitar. Rory is the latest and the best so far. He has an easy style that has taught me more in a year than I've learned from all the others. From basic fingering exercises to understanding scales to learning to jam, I've learned both the how and the why to do things. He has tied more pieces together for me but helping me understand the big picture. I would highly recommend Rory as a guitar instructor for learners of all ages.

About

I took piano lessons from Geoff 2 years ago and unfortunately due to financial issues had to quit. For the months that I was able to be taught by him, I loved how patient he was with me as well as the materials he gave me. I would definitely return to him if I was able to do so in the future

About

I highly recommend Tim as a cello teacher! I've taken cello lessons from Tim for almost 3 years. I started at age 44 with more than a little apprehension having had less than ideal experiences as a kid with a few piano teachers. I wanted to learn to play a lot of tv/movie soundtrack music as well as the more standard classical tunes. Tim's sense of humor and easy-going demeanor combined with his vast knowledge of musical theory plus his skill as a cellist are the perfect combination to inspire and draw me forward in my learning. He knows how to apply enough challenge plus enough encouragement to help even the older student excel to the best of their ability.

About

I am very fortunate and blessed that Mark accepted me as an Adult-Starting-From-Scratch student. He has taught me coordination which enables me to get to all chords on time (a miracle). Mark's guitar knowledge is encyclopedic. He can teach you how to play songs in any style or genre you can think of, and he is extremely patient. Mark Hanson really is a rare teacher, who is able to communicate at the student's level of comprehension and illuminate as many facts as they can absorb.

About

Found Neil and the Montavilla Guitar Studio through a neighborhood Facebook page. He has been giving our 8 year old daughter private guitar lessons for 3 months now, with great patience and so many fun, innovative teaching techniques! His studio/teaching space is cozy and welcoming, he clearly enjoys teaching lessons, and has a natural knack for working with children (which is no small feat). We have been incredibly pleased with the caliber of teacher we've found in Neil. (If you are just beginning lessons - he also offers a complimentary "find a guitar" session where he meets you at a local guitar shop to pick an instrument that'll work well. Great way get a newbie musician excited about what's to come!)

About

I am a working musician and guitar teacher who instructs both privately and on-line through my website. What makes me different from other instructors is my versatility and real working-musician experience. I have performed on stage, in the studio, and in a compositional capacity working in a variety of genres. Whether you just need beginner lessons for a young child or more intermediate and advanced instruction in music theory and composition, I am your man! My pricing and lesson duration/scheduling are flexible, so that we can work together to make your guitar instruction affordable. Generally, I charge $30 per 30 to 40 minutes of instruction although, I don't mind staying for longer time with you if we're really digging in and loving it. Please contact me with any questions. Thanks!

I provide one-on-one music instructions for students of all ages and abilities. My approach is unique and fresh. I simply listen to what the student wants to learn and then I show you the most fun and effective way to reach your musical goals. I am very patient and I have a great track record. I teach all styles of music and I love to work with kids. I have grandkids and I love watching them learn, but I am also an accomplished musician that has worked with some of the most gifted entertainers on the planet. My students learn to read music and learn a bit of music theory which helps them appreciate the learning process. So whether your goal is to play for your own fun, or to play with other musicians, this is the first step.

I want to learn County and Blues, I need help playing chords and with technique, and I'm interested in learning how to sing, but guitar comes first. I have both an acoustic and electric guitar and have been teaching myself for the last year using the Hal Leonard Beginning, Intermediate, and Advaced books. I completed the first two books, and just started the third one. I can read music fairly well (played the trumpet for 7 years but that was a long time ago).

I like to play steel-string guitar with a finger-picking style. I'm self-taught and would like to build some discipline with practicing whole songs, and see if there are some bad habits I should break.
