Patient, intelligent, talented… Those are just three of the qualities that Maxime displays as a guitar teacher. I started taking guitar lessons from him last year and to be honest, at first I was somewhat concerned about taking music lessons over the Internet. But it’s worked out quite well. And although I am a beginning guitar player, I’m not an inexperienced music student. After undergraduate studies in music. I went to Juilliard on scholarship before going on to perform all over the world. Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, recording contract with Sony. Recorded at Abbey Rd. Studios with the London Philharmonic, PBS radio and TV performances with leading orchestras and opera companies and along the way more voice lessons than I can remember…. 😬 so if there’s one thing I’ve done a lot of it’s take private music lessons. From a lot of people. Some good, some bad, and some great. And I have no qualms about recommending Max to either a beginning or advanced guitar student. He does a great job and is very organized in his teaching. So if you’re thinking of taking lessons give him a try. I think you’ll be very happy. Did I mention that is also a really nice guy…? 😎 Les young

I started taking his piano lessons only about a month ago, but it''s been such a great joy to work with him. He constantly assesses my weaknesses and strengths, and plans my lessons accordingly. He also listens carefully to what I like and what I want to do, too. I live a bit far from his studio, but it's totally worth it. I highly recommend him!

My 10 year old son started taking piano lessons with Deanna Maio at Confident Voice Studios a couple of months ago, and she has done a terrific job connecting with him and helping him advance his piano practice. We highly recommend Deanna!

When we arrived for the initial consultation for singing lessons and my daughter saw the piano, she asked if she could take piano lessons first. So, we're now taking piano lessons from Bonnie. I find her to work very well with kids, my daughter is 8, and my daughter likes her and is happy too. She explains things clearly, gives praise when earned, and is helpful and pleasant to work with.

Helen, was AMAZING, she taught my 6 yr daughter her first piano lesson. We were going to try out a few different teachers, but after meeting her, I have no interest going anywhere else. Thank you for being so friendly and so talented! <3 A few things that were important to me were, 1. She could connect with my 6 year old. 2. That she could teach syllabus. 3. That she has opportunities for her students to perform during the year. She met all three of those. :)

I highly recommend Tim as a cello teacher! I've taken cello lessons from Tim for almost 3 years. I started at age 44 with more than a little apprehension having had less than ideal experiences as a kid with a few piano teachers. I wanted to learn to play a lot of tv/movie soundtrack music as well as the more standard classical tunes. Tim's sense of humor and easy-going demeanor combined with his vast knowledge of musical theory plus his skill as a cellist are the perfect combination to inspire and draw me forward in my learning. He knows how to apply enough challenge plus enough encouragement to help even the older student excel to the best of their ability.

I have had three guitar lessons with Cameron and have found him to be extremely knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and positive. As a beginner guitar student I would highly recommend him if you've toyed with the idea of learning but have been intimidated or put it off for any other reason. Cameron presents the information/exercises in just the right amounts for me thereby preventing frustration with the material and instead increasing my confidence and enjoyment.

Jeremy is a fantastic instructor. I took piano lessons from him with an emphasis on music theory. He expertly calibrated the lessons to my level of experience with both and as well as my learning speed. He has an easygoing and encouraging presence, and explains concepts in several different ways, making them easier to understand and remember. I had a lot of fun. Thanks, Jeremy!

I’ve been seeing Haley for about 2 months now for vocal lessons. She is super professional and helps me so much with finding my voice. I have so much more confidence and skill after working with her. She is extremely talented and I feel so lucky to have her as a coach. She works really hard on helping me find my sound and making me feel comfortable and confident with my voice.

About

Hey everyone! My name is Benjamin Copsey. I am 21 years old, very friendly and open to anyone with a passion for music. I have been a guitar instructor for 5 years now and would like to expand my clientele. In my classes, it's up to the student what they want to learn! For example, if you or your child wanted to learn guitar so you could play your favorite song and determined to learn it in a week, I would be the man to go to.

About

Whether a student is 5 years old or 80, I believe everyone can benefit greatly from learning the fundamentals of music, coupled with even the most elementary music theory concepts. If you are a new student, the first thing you may want to ask yourself is whether you have a specific goal. Do you want to learn rock, jazz, classical, or blues, or all of them? We can do that! Do you want to learn to read music? Or, is tablature notation enough for your needs? We can do either or both. Are you interested in writing your own music and learning how different styles of music are constructed using music theory? We can do that too. It all depends on where you want to go as a musician. For more advanced students, we may work on anything from altered chords and jazz solos to advanced rock techniques (sweep arpeggios, exotic scales, etc.) and odd time signatures or advanced theory. For beginning students, I like to concentrate on technique during the first few lessons in order to develop good habits. This includes posture (how to properly sit and hold guitar), left-hand technique (how to best place fingers for chording as well as single notes), and right-hand technique (how to hold the pick and perform picking patterns). The student's technique will be honed through various picking exercises as well as basic chord progressions, scales, and songs. Of course, during this time, we will work together to find the best path to meet your music goals!

I want to learn County and Blues, I need help playing chords and with technique, and I'm interested in learning how to sing, but guitar comes first. I have both an acoustic and electric guitar and have been teaching myself for the last year using the Hal Leonard Beginning, Intermediate, and Advaced books. I completed the first two books, and just started the third one. I can read music fairly well (played the trumpet for 7 years but that was a long time ago).
