I took cello lessons with Elisa for a few years and played in a group of student, stringed musicians led by her for a few more. She is very good at what she does. She is also very kind. Her lessons are affordable (especially important for a broke college student like me), and her schedule flexible for the most part.Jan 4, 2015
When I was 16 I took guitar beginner guitar lessons with Elisa and absolutely loved it! I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a music teacher. She was and is very supportive of my dream in music.Jan 7, 2015
Wedding Ceremony Music
Elisa did a wonderful job at our wedding in July. We were able to meet with her in her music studio a few months before the wedding and after that meeting we had no doubt she would play beautiful and appropriate music for our non-religious wedding. Having a live musician for our outdoor ceremony was the best choice I made because we got to avoid clunky sound equipment, which preserved the beauty of the space we had chosen and added elegance to our ceremony. Elisa is very professional and extremely talented. I would recommend her for anyone in the Portland-Metro area!Aug 10, 2018Verified

- How did you get started doing this type of work? After high school I decided to go for professional level music studies. I went to entrance examination at Sibelius Academy and was accepted majoring in solo violin and violin pedagogy. I also have a degree in musicology from Helsinki University, but even so I am not too serious teacher!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Call and make an appointment to first meet with the teacher, talk about your personal goals and take a short introductory lesson to find out sbout the teacher's teaching style.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?I am a professional violin and strings teacher with a college degree and I am fully devoted to teach a large clientele year round, all ages and all levels through high standards and willing to treat each student as unique individual with their own learning and music enjoyment goals. I am comfortable with beginners as well as more advanced levels. Although I am nowadays focused on teaching private lessons at my own music school I have been teaching in the past in more than one college music program.
