Latest Review: Taylor has been absolutely amazing since day one. When I began to look into personal training, I was a little nervous. I was worried about everything from hiring a horrible trainer who yelled at me or was uninterested to not having enough money to really commit to it. Taylor quickly calmed all of those fears. When I met for our free consult she was straight forward and professional while still being very personable. I took the leap and went for it and I have been SO happy with my results. Not only does Taylor completely know what she's doing, but she charges a very reasonable price and is always available to answer any questions I have at any time of the day. Shes fun and encourages me to live the best lifestyle I can. I promise if you hire her, you will not regret it.

Latest Review: I have been training with Jake for about 4 months. I can say he is the best trainer I've had. And I've been through a few. What I can say about Jake: I feel like he's got my back. Any trainer can push you to work hard and make you do a hard workout. What I like about Jake is that he can push me but knows when I should also pull back and rest. He is wonderful with stretches! He is also very fit and a good coach. The two qualities together make for an exceptionally effective trainer. His passion for fitness shows. Jake is also a good communicator. That doesn't mean he's always chatty or got a slick front but he's very good at reading his clients and seeks to understand and listen to you. He's a good read of people. I also don't feel judged by Jake like I have with other trainers. He's a super great guy who treated my initial difficulties working out with empathy, compassion and flexibility. With Jake, I had come back to working out again after a physical setback and had put on the most weight I'd ever gained. I am also a woman in her fifties and weight is the hardest to get off than previously for me. In three months he's helped me reduce all my measurements! And last but not least, Jake is a professional. He shows it in his voice, conversation and his attitude. Do not look any further for a trainer! Jake is the best.

Latest Review: I've been working out with Marcos from Compact and he has been fantastic. It's so convenient to have him come to my apartment complex gym for training and he's always well prepared with a plan. The difficulty level of the workouts he programs is spot on.

Latest Review: Dahn is a great trainer. Very energetic, positive and a super motivator. What I think was the best feature, however, is that Dahn is very aware of how to avoid ANY KIND of injury. Oh sure, I was sore after a couple of workouts, but it was a good sore that comes from working hard. I had no joint pain or or soreness from a bad move. Dahan really watches out for that issue. Overall, I'd definitely seek Dahn out as a trainer or instructor.

Latest Review: I sought out personal training on the recommendation of my physical therapist. The goal was to continue strengthening exercises to improve the condition of my injured ankle and problematic knees. I have to admit, I was terrified to start working with a personal trainer... I was obese, out of shape, and feared that I would be judged. Then I stumbled across Corey at Thrive Body Balance and realized I had nothing to fear. He was very welcoming and willing to work with me unconditionally and without judgment. I've been working out with Corey weekly for nearly 6 months now. I feel so much stronger, and that has helped me both physically and in terms of my confidence. I also feel like I'm taking great strides towards lifelong health, as Corey works with me on "corrective" exercises to improve the alignment and balance of my body. I would most definitely recommend Corey to anyone and everyone. He is extremely knowledgeable, understanding, flexible, patient, wise, and truly just a joy to spend time with. After all this time, I still look forward to my weekly personal training sessions. They have been worth every penny, and I feel very lucky to have found a trainer like Corey.

Latest Review: 243. The number flashed on the scale, staring me right in my bewildered face. I stepped off the scale, tapped it with my big toe, and stepped back on. 243. I stepped off the scale and shook my head in bewilderment. How did I let this happen? How did I slip this far? I had thought my face looked round mere moments ago in that family photo, but 243…this was a disaster. A disclaimer… I have struggled with my weight and body image my entire life. I am not, nor was I ever, the most athletic individual. I swam competitively for a number of years, and I took a number of dance classes in college, but athletic is an adjective I would never use to describe my physical ability. Back to 243... From that moment on, I made myself a promise. I would change. I would take my insecurities and confront them head on. I would become athletic. Bolstered by this determination, I began the tedious process of vetting a gym. At the time, I was working downtown at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, so finding a gym close to work was crucial. After some preliminary online research, I grabbed my co-worker for moral support and trekked down the block to Gold’s Gym. Shannon, my fearless cohort, was already a member of Gold’s Gym and urged me to join after our tour of this gleaming tower of physical perfection. Needless to say, I signed on the dotted line. I was a member of a gym. It was time to shed the pounds and increase my self-determined self-worth. I adopted a new mantra: Your dreams only work if you do. The next day I had scheduled my free fitness assessment with someone named Brittany. I arrived, changed into my workout clothes, and checked in at the front desk, nervous, anxious, and ready to run out the door. Seconds later, I was greeted by a girl in a red trainer’s t-shirt with her name printed across her heart and black workout shorts. She stuck out her hand, shook mine, and took me upstairs to take my measurements and learn more about my fitness and personal goals. Little did I know that this fitness assessment would be more than just assessing my then lack of physicality. It would be the foundation and formation of a friendship and mutual support system. We clicked instantly. Brittany possessed the right amount of sass and drive to whip me into shape and encourage me every step of the way. Immediately after the assessment I signed up for three months of personal training, twice a week with Brittany. Fast-forward nine months later. I was strong. I was confident. I was athletic. Brittany had completely changed my life for the best. I was at my gym 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day before and after work, taking boot camp classes, swimming, lifting, and doing yoga. Brittany had taught me that physical fitness was more than just lifting weights, it was nutrition, it was mental health, it was finding an inner balance. She taught me that fitness is a journey, with twists and turns along the way. That we have good days and bad, and we can assess each as it comes and not stray from the goals ahead. She helped me realize my potential and pushed me to meet it. The moment I met Brittany my life changed. Through her friendship, she helped me discover that I could do anything I set my mind to. Your dreams only work if you do, so it’s time to keep working.
