My girlfriend and I did a cooking class for beginners at Bonnie's place. We cooked a soup, a salad, a main dish, and a dessert. It was fun and informative, but I think we sold ourselves a bit too short when requesting the beginner class.
Carsons Catering did a great job! We had a small reception. We requested a prime rib for the main course. The prime rib was excellently seasoned and cooked perfectly. I would recommend Carsons Catering to other couples looking for comfort food catering.
I've been fortunate enough to have enjoyed Saucie Jos's food on many occasions. It is the best! The combination on quality food, technical skill and the love of cooking create such an amazing experience! You will not be disappointed.
Freedom's yoga classes at Studio Modern Yoga are quite refreshing and always a nice dose of fun. The approach is delightfully unique and catered to the needs of those in attendance. If you have a physical injury, she'll make sure to check in with you before sending you into a potentially painful pose. She's always been early and patiently waiting for attendees. Even having only occasionally done yoga for the past few years, she's got me doing inversions like I'm a regular practitioner. Freedom radiates a caring and loving energy, and is a pure delight to be around. Best vinyasa yoga teacher I've ever had!
The event was a plant based cooking class with 10 people preparing a Mexican dinner. Everyone took on at least 2 different dishes and we shared the meal at the end. It was a good group that interacted well with each other and we had a lot of fun. Emily cruised through the different stations answering questions and helping people with their dishes. She spoke with confidence and authority on nutritional facts and food preparation while keeping it light hearted and enjoyable.I would not hesitate a moment to take another one of her classes.
Heather is the CEO of our food dept. She continues week to week to deliver quality healthy meals to our family. Her cooking has expanded our boys palate's and has been able to relieve stress and time on putting a healthy cooked meal's on the table. Heather has been able to come up with weekly menu's that involve food sensitivities and allergies. Heather has also helped us plan and cook for entertainment purposes for any occasion! She is a steady constant in our household that is fun to be around and has an amazing passion for her cooking.
I have had one cooking lesson with Nathan and it was a blast! He is teaching me the fundementals of cooking by breaking the classes down into different types of proteins. He is completely open minded about how the class will be organized and what he will teach you. The learning curve is steep when you are learning techniques in your kitchen, with all your own cooking tools.
Marc Frech of Spark is not only an experienced and talented chef he has the gift for teaching. Our group enjoyed his company and conversation just as much as the cooking instruction and joy of eating it together. The 3 course dinner had some very sophisticated flavors and texture but not too complicated. Real food, real fresh, and after this class even I could make it and so will. I highly recommend Marc. It was a very enjoyable evening.
Greg has been cooking/delivering dinner dishes to my house for about a month, and both the food and the service have been excellent. He's been responsive, responsible, available, friendly, easy to work with--and very nice.
I have known Lauren for over five years. In that time she has catered over a dozen events for friends and myself. From large events to intimate gatherings and even a cooking class for friends culminating with a fabulous multi course dinner. We have never been disappointed! I recommend her to all my friends and clients.
Mac was great to work with. He knew what he needed and was able to fully accommodate our interests. We wanted a natural feeling shoot in our kitchen because we spend most of our time as a couple cooking, and Mac jumped right in and made it work out beautifully.
Tina rocks! Her classes are very fun and interactive, chock full of helpful information, and very enlivening. Her food is delicious, beautiful to look at and easy to duplicate in my own kitchen. I appreciate Tina's healthy organic approach and her wealth of knowledge. I always feel inspired and "fed" in more ways than through the tummy! I am a Tina fan!!!
I took Thai and Japanese cooking classes with Noriko, and both were very enjoyable. Noriko is personable, organized, and attentive to details. Explanations of ingredients and procedures were thorough, hands-on time was satisfactory, and the setting comfortable. The crown jewel of my experiences was the wonderful food! I enjoyed beautiful meals and conversation with fellow students, and was able to replicate the dishes at home. This is a testament to the well-written recipe procedures, along with Noriko's instruction. I will be back!
Dee is a fantastic cook, and her expertise and experience in cooking Latin and Caribbean cuisine comes straight from the heart. Her tamales and jerk chicken are especially delicious, and will leave you wanting more. I would highly recommend attending one of her cooking classes!
What a fantastic gastronomic experience! Working with Hector is a joy. He is a talented, professional and extremely enjoyable person. I have hired him over and over again for cooking classes, as well as private dinners. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. Can’t wait to work with him again!
Carey taught cooking classes at my cooking school in the Palm Springs area for several years. She is both an excellent teacher and a talented chef, which is the biggest challenge in running a professional cooking school. It is extremely difficult to find both attributes in one person. Her knowledge, professionalism, and quality of cuisine is exceptional, and I highly recommend her services.
Tony is working on ongoing cooking classes with us. He is doing an excellent job. He is creative and communicates ideas and techniques well. I would highly recommend him.
Gabriel led an enjoyable and informative cooking class with a focus on zero food waste for our company activity. We learned how to break down and roast whole chickens and make mushroom risotto. There were a total of about 35 of us and my colleagues are still talking about what a great time they had. I highly recommend Gabriel to anyone looking for an engaging and fun culinary adventure.
I found It's A Wrap (Elita Mitchell) for my stepson's Fall wedding. The bride and groom had some very specific ideas about how they wanted things to go, so finding a caterer/serving service that wasn't going to also provide the food was practically impossible. Initially, Elita agreed and signed up to help with set-up, food service and clean up only. As the months progressed, plans continued to change and evolve. Elita handled these changes with ease and worked very hard to accommodate their wishes. By the time the wedding arrived, Elita and It's A Wrap ended up catering the wedding and doing all the prep, service and clean up. In an unusual turn, the bride and groom wanted pasta dishes for the meal. The pasta dishes Elita and her crew made were fantastic and fresh and included meat, vegetarian and vegan options. If you have ever made pasta in quantity, you know it is not easy to keep it fresh and hot (especially on a warm, summer day outdoors!) but they managed and it was delightful. A couple of days before the wedding, the original dessert plan fell through. Elita was able to network her resources and put together a spectacular cupcake variety and chocolate-covered strawberry display that was not only beautiful but also sinfully delicious. This was a challenging event to plan for a number of reasons but Elita really rose to the challenge. I truly appreciated her "go-getter" attitude and her ability to roll with the changes in plans (and there were many). Elita was able to take a lot of things off everyone's proverbial plates so that they could concentrate on the special day at hand. This is what you need and what you want in a caterer. The day turned out beautifully. No one left hungry. And the bride and groom were able to mingle and enjoy their day with their families and friends. We would recommend Elita and It's A Wrap without hesitation. Most caterers may have flat out refused to make/do some of the changes (last minute and otherwise) or would have tripled your cost. Elita did not do that and the additional cost was totally in keeping with the additional food and services provided. These kinds of major life events are truly special but also they can be stressful! Elita and her crew will get you through and you will come out the other side to a beautiful event.
My work with Christy was enlightening and life changing both professionally and personally. Professionally, I was unhappy in my work. Christy helped me get to the root of what I really wanted out of my work and also helped me recognize and implement the changes needed for it to happen. She also helped me recognize when I fell into old patterns or participated in self sabotaging behavior and gave me the tools to work through these relapses on my own. Personally, I have developed a greater sense of my own value, I have more confidence and am happier in my relationships with others and myself. Christy creates a safe place to explore the things that hold you back and with her help those issues that are scary or uncomfortable work toward resolution. She goes with you on this journey as you develop the confidence to live in a new way. Christy is incredibly intuitive, her approach organic and tailored. She is extraordinarily empathetic and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her.
