FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, all the time! While some continuing ed is required for licensure, in the last renewal period I had completed over double the required hours of continuing education. I love learning, especially learning new and better ways to help my patients get out of pain back to doing the things they love! I am currently enrolled in a Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification program, which is an intensive 250 course that I will complete over the coming year. This course includes in-depth anatomy study, acupuncture treatment protocols for common injuries and therapeutic exercises to correct posture! I can't wait to bring the knowledge home to my patients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up involved in athletics of all sorts. I've always been active, and alas, I've had several injuries - so I spent a lot of time recovering, doing physical therapy and other rehabilitation. This drew me to be interested in the body and how best to go about the healing process - that combined with my love for Eastern philosophy made becoming an acupuncturist a natural next step.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
While acupuncture is great for SO many things, most often I treat pain. Stress is another common complaint I hear from my patients and treat quite often.
