    Awesome experience. They were on-time, quick and professional and had competitive pricing. Morrison also provided all the paperwork needed for rebates and tax credits and scheduled the electrical permit with the City of Portland. A+

    We just moved into a 52 year old home and are replacing most of the mechanicals. Todd arrived on time and well prepared for our first meeting. He provided multiple options and explained the pros and cons of each. When we had questions about the quote he was thorough and went back to his vendor to provide a competitive bid. The installation team at Morrison was on time, courteous and efficient. Highly recommended!

    I originally had an appt for 3:00 so made arrangements to leave work early… By 4:30 I had not heard anything so called and got the answering service. Almost ½ hour later I recd a call from the technician to let me know he would be on his way (just finishing another job) and shortly after that, another call from who I assume to be the owner or manager. I completely understand that circumstances force changes in a person’s schedule but had I received a phone call, I would likely have planned my day differently. In the end, the technician arrived and in short order had my furnace back in working condition and informed me that he had been instructed to make an adjustment to my bill. I had been assured that the issue of not being notified would be looked into and indeed I did get an email acknowledging responsibility for the failure to communicate (rare in this day and age). All in all, I would recommend Morrison Heating and Cooling, would use them again, and would recommend them to others. I appreciated the immediate response in providing a quote so quickly once I posted my need on Thumbtack. They treated me fairly and the technician showed me that part that needed to be replaced and had it available on his van. This was my second experience with Thumbtack and I will use it over and over again.

    Morrison Heating & Cooling was extremely professional and efficient in fixing our defrost board problem. The repair technician was very friendly and knowledgable. He had to order a part and had our air conditioning up and running in less than two days. Thank you Morrison Heating & Cooling!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We do site visits to find out the customers needs, create an estimate, begin the job packet process, scheduling/ordering equipment, installation day and then we process all the registration/warranty/tax credit paperwork.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We attend as many Factory training classes as possible. Being factory trained for certain products means we are able to provide superior service. We also must complete continuing education requirements to keep licenses active. We also attend local business mixers, round table discussions and strive to learn as much as possible to help our community sustain.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have a very broad range of job types because of our broad range of skills & experience. From changing air filters to the highest end- home heating & cooling systems to commercial controls and systems, we have it covered.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We are fond of many of our jobs. We really like seeing the completed projects we are a part of come to life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are looking for an accurate bid on installing furnaces, air conditioners, filter housings, ducting etc., be careful of bids that are given without the contractor looking at your house in person. An accurate bid for systems that fit your particular home and taking into account variables for the install are nearly impossible to do over the phone or internet. Morrison Heating & Cooling has free in-home estimates so we can be assured of an accurate bid and can make sure the job is done right! We can give you a cost number for a basic system for a very certain set of installation variables- but the chances for that being correct for your home, needs and wants is pretty slim. There are just too many variables to figure out over the phone or internet.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That what we do is the foundation of your home. We make it comfortable, we keep the air pure and healthy for our customers and their famliy.
