I had purchased a house with an existing mezzanine above the garage which was not completely built properly. As it was - it was not going to be able to bear a lot of weight. I reached out to John and asked for his opinion on what it would take to reinforce it. He provided me with clearly laid out details on what it would take and an approximate costs for both supplies and his labor. He was very accommodating after I decided to change my mind and rather than have the floor joists hang lower which would create a lower clearance - I wanted the clearance level to stay the same. He gave me an updated approximated quote and told me he could do it without significant additional costs. He communicated his schedule with me clearly and when be arrived to begin work, he was efficient. He finished the job within his estimated time and actually below his initial estimated quote. He was professional, performed high quality work, and also cleaned up well. If I have any other future projects of this nature that I need help with, I will reach out to John again! FYI pics below are of the whole mezzanine, but the portion of work he performed was adding the posts on both sides while removing the old ones and also adding additional joists below.

Details: I'm just starting • Garage • Replace parts of existing structure • Repair existing structure • Less than 500 sq ft • Home • I am the owner

John was very easy to work with. We chatted for a bit, and then he got straight to work. I would definitely hire him again.

We created a basement ADU in our home. John and his team did an incredible work at a very competitive price. They created a kitchen, egress windows, installed drywall, lighting, custom countertops, tile flooring, wood trim, doors.
