Cabinet Refinishing and Repair
Ed is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He kept me up to date throughout the job process and was willing to work extra to match a tricky finish.Jun 18, 2016Verified
Ed is a total professional and a pleasure to work with. Excellent finish job on my table for a very desireable price point. Will take any wood finishing work in the future immediately to his door. Highly recommended!! Happy new year!Jan 2, 2015Verified
Just picked up my oak table and chairs that Ed refinished. The table and chairs look wonderful. The top of the table feels like glass the finish is so good. I would highly recommend Ed............this work is amazing, cost is very reasonable and he is very nice to work with!Feb 14, 2013Verified
Custom Cabinet Building
Because of limited room in my current apartment, I asked Ed to make a shelf structure that would fit on top of an existing dresser, thereby turning it into a standing desk. I couldn't be happier with the result. The new unit literally looks like part of the original furniture. It is also rock-solid, but lean, simple and graceful. The only downside---which Ed was completely up front about from the get-go---is that he does not work quickly. He is indeed a meticulous craftsman, who took his time to meet his standards and mine. I'm delighted with how the project turned out.Jun 14, 2016Verified
Today it's very hard to fine professional craftsmen in this trade. Now I found one Ed Reinstein. Ed repaired a dining chair leg that snaped and looked as if it could not be repaired. Ed fixed that chair and I could not tell that the leg had been damaged I was very impressed by the work he does. By the way Ed quoted the cost to repair the chair, and the time frame and that never changed. He is a man of his word. Very talented Man. Thanks Ed.Feb 3, 2015Verified
- What types of customers have you worked with?I have a wide range of skills and the jobs clients ask me to build can really vary. The most common are, special cabinetry that must be an exact size shape or style. Lately have had a lot of furniture repair and refinishing. Before that was a run of bench seating, window seats, kitchen nooks, some fancy outdoor tables and benches. Over time I do a lot of work in kitchens.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?If you have doubts ask the potential service provider for the names and numbers of their last 3 jobs. Don't ask them for a list of references. The last 3 jobs will give you a much clearer picture of who you are hiring and if they hesitate hire someone else.
