About The Tech Shack

We offer home and small to large business solutions. We offer maintenance contracts, providing a 2-hour labor for 2-12 times a year and more.

We offer 24/7 service. Travel in Portland is free, while outside areas may be charged a mileage fee. Service is 1 hour minimum.

We have exceptional troubleshooting skills.

Our services are:

* Set up service for your new computer systems: Do you have corporate needs? We are trained in Microsoft A.D., Outlook 2003-2010, and can help with the setups on your business network and backing up/recovery of your important files.

* Total purchase consulting: We will assist you picking out your system and peripheral, ordering it, and once it comes, we will set it up, and show you how to use it. Then we follow up within 1 week of new set up. We like to call it our "concierge service".

* Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows computer training and support services for all of your home and business needs

There is no additional travel charge in the Portland/Vancouver metro area. Refer a friend, and get 1 hour of our time for free!
We give $10.00 discounts to non-profit organizations, students and educators.

We believe in preventative maintenance, and having a solid back up plan. We put things in simple English so you're not left deciphering what we've explained to you.

I have worked for more than 4 years at Apple, Inc., and 5 years at Dell, Inc. I have over 10 years working for other reputable companies in the IT field, including supervising and T.O.W. II missiles for the US Army.

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I do many move to Mac, data transfers to a new computer, recovering failed or corrupt hard drives, operating system upgrades, recommending what technology to purchase such as Windows vs Macintosh, iPad/iOS vs. android and so on. I do a lot for my friends. Most of my clients once done, are friends. Let us help you.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love technology. The spped in which it changes and keeping up with it. It is important to like your job or I feel you won't do as good of a job. I think Apple has done outstanding work and I'm waiting for the next Windows operating system to see if it will be as good. The same with iOS. I like being able to remote into another computer and fix their issue from my home office.

A. My greatest strength is my passion for technology, and the fact that I use it everyday and assit people on a daily basis.

A. What is your previous work experience with Apple?
I worked for Apple for 4 years doing technical support, beta testing OS X to training new hires.

I worked for Dell, Inc. for 4 and a half years doing technical support, executive support including Michael Dell issues, started a group called the R.E.C., project management - improved their dispatching process, writing manually and training video's then helping open a new site in Oklahoma City and trained, supervised and managed people at the call center.
