Latest Review: I have been training with Jake for about 4 months. I can say he is the best trainer I've had. And I've been through a few. What I can say about Jake: I feel like he's got my back. Any trainer can push you to work hard and make you do a hard workout. What I like about Jake is that he can push me but knows when I should also pull back and rest. He is wonderful with stretches! He is also very fit and a good coach. The two qualities together make for an exceptionally effective trainer. His passion for fitness shows. Jake is also a good communicator. That doesn't mean he's always chatty or got a slick front but he's very good at reading his clients and seeks to understand and listen to you. He's a good read of people. I also don't feel judged by Jake like I have with other trainers. He's a super great guy who treated my initial difficulties working out with empathy, compassion and flexibility. With Jake, I had come back to working out again after a physical setback and had put on the most weight I'd ever gained. I am also a woman in her fifties and weight is the hardest to get off than previously for me. In three months he's helped me reduce all my measurements! And last but not least, Jake is a professional. He shows it in his voice, conversation and his attitude. Do not look any further for a trainer! Jake is the best.

Latest Review: Chris is an exceptional trainer! He pushes me beyond what I could do on my own and is patient when I can do no more. His background and experience make him a huge asset to helping me achieve the goals I am working toward. It is no easy task to replace fat with muscle but his knowledge and expertise as well as his techniques and well thought out training and nutrition plans have helped me see results within just a few short weeks. I plan to continue working with him and I know the results will exceed my expectations. I have referred him to my friends and genuinely believe he is one of the best trainers out there.

Latest Review: Hiring a personal trainer can be intimidating. Hiring a personal trainer when you're a large, out of shape, middle aged woman can be down right nerve wracking. I was fortunate to find James a couple years ago after deciding I'd had enough of feeling weak and off balance. Trusting him with my fitness was the best decision I've made in a long time. He is patient. He knows his stuff and all he ever wants is for me to do my best and improve. I've been to trainers who tried to sell me supplements or tried to put me on diets to lose weight. They never asked me what *I* wanted. That was the first thing James asked me. He's the best.

Latest Review: 243. The number flashed on the scale, staring me right in my bewildered face. I stepped off the scale, tapped it with my big toe, and stepped back on. 243. I stepped off the scale and shook my head in bewilderment. How did I let this happen? How did I slip this far? I had thought my face looked round mere moments ago in that family photo, but 243…this was a disaster. A disclaimer… I have struggled with my weight and body image my entire life. I am not, nor was I ever, the most athletic individual. I swam competitively for a number of years, and I took a number of dance classes in college, but athletic is an adjective I would never use to describe my physical ability. Back to 243... From that moment on, I made myself a promise. I would change. I would take my insecurities and confront them head on. I would become athletic. Bolstered by this determination, I began the tedious process of vetting a gym. At the time, I was working downtown at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, so finding a gym close to work was crucial. After some preliminary online research, I grabbed my co-worker for moral support and trekked down the block to Gold’s Gym. Shannon, my fearless cohort, was already a member of Gold’s Gym and urged me to join after our tour of this gleaming tower of physical perfection. Needless to say, I signed on the dotted line. I was a member of a gym. It was time to shed the pounds and increase my self-determined self-worth. I adopted a new mantra: Your dreams only work if you do. The next day I had scheduled my free fitness assessment with someone named Brittany. I arrived, changed into my workout clothes, and checked in at the front desk, nervous, anxious, and ready to run out the door. Seconds later, I was greeted by a girl in a red trainer’s t-shirt with her name printed across her heart and black workout shorts. She stuck out her hand, shook mine, and took me upstairs to take my measurements and learn more about my fitness and personal goals. Little did I know that this fitness assessment would be more than just assessing my then lack of physicality. It would be the foundation and formation of a friendship and mutual support system. We clicked instantly. Brittany possessed the right amount of sass and drive to whip me into shape and encourage me every step of the way. Immediately after the assessment I signed up for three months of personal training, twice a week with Brittany. Fast-forward nine months later. I was strong. I was confident. I was athletic. Brittany had completely changed my life for the best. I was at my gym 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day before and after work, taking boot camp classes, swimming, lifting, and doing yoga. Brittany had taught me that physical fitness was more than just lifting weights, it was nutrition, it was mental health, it was finding an inner balance. She taught me that fitness is a journey, with twists and turns along the way. That we have good days and bad, and we can assess each as it comes and not stray from the goals ahead. She helped me realize my potential and pushed me to meet it. The moment I met Brittany my life changed. Through her friendship, she helped me discover that I could do anything I set my mind to. Your dreams only work if you do, so it’s time to keep working.

Latest Review: It can be difficult to pick a personal trainer. You want to find someone who cares about you, your goals and has the correct training to get you there. Travis definitely has all of those things! He pushes me in our weekly training sessions and then he creates and schedules other workouts for me to do alone during the week (which he can track as well), so it really helps to keep me on track and motivated! He pushes me and definitely creates workouts in the style that I enjoy with keeping in mind the end goal I'm looking to achieve. He is personable and easy to talk to throughout the workouts. He makes me feel comfortable no matter what we are doing. Travis is also very strict on form, and doing things correctly which is SO important to keep me from getting injured. I think this is such an important quality in a personal trainer, you have to trust that they have your best interests at heart. I could keep going, but I don't want people to get overloaded with reading this...my last comment is that he is affordable! That is one of the hardest things to find in his profession but then it makes it easy to afford to keep him!! I have had other trainers in the past, so I know the good from the bad and Travis is definitely the good!! We have been training together for over a year now and I anticipate this continuing for quite some time in the future. I would highly recommend him to anyone!!
