Introduction: I have been a certified personal trainer for 6 years in NW Portland. I am a level 1 StrongFirst kettlebell instructor, and I specialize in strength training, conditioning, and weight loss. I put a large emphasis on nutritional coaching and make it my priority to teach my clients manageable lifestyle changes to help them reach and maintain their goals. My job is to coach my clients to become stronger and more functional. I am here to motivate and hold clients accountable to their goals.

Katherine is beyond amazing. I started going to Katherine to tone my body and have received results further than I have ever expected. While I started training for Katherine, I got engaged and immediately got motivated to go harder. Katherine was a bride's dream. We sat down and discussed my goals. Every month I felt better and Katherine was great at continuously checking in and making sure that I was happy with my results. Katherine has mastered the push and pull technique of training where she knows exactly the right amount to push and when to stop. As I am approaching one month to my wedding, I get more and more excited trying on my dress and dont believe I would feel this good without Katherine's help.

If you want your butt in gear, Katherine is your girl! Strength and conditioning training takes time and dedication, but if you listen to Katherine you WILL see results. She will not only kick your butt during your workouts with her but will also give you detailed "homework" for your days outside of the gym and is extremely knowledgeable in dietary recommendations and meal plans. Her workouts are very well thought out and planned in a way that yields great results. It amazed me how much stronger I got each week. I had never lifted weights in my life and am now a firm believer in weight training! Working out with Katherine (and doing her assigned “homework”) produced results I could have never produced on my own. The icing on the cake is she is so much fun. You will laugh AND sweat. Katherine has perfected the art of being direct and honest but not offensive or scary. Katherine was able to make me get down to business but also look forward to coming to the gym for my sessions…something I had never experienced in my life. If you really want to see results and make your workouts count, invest in hiring Katherine. It’s worth every penny!

I started working with Katherine in Nov. 2011 while I was in graduate school. Katherine helped me regain so many things including confidence in myself, strength, and improved balance. After my first two years, my focus with Katherine switched from weight loss to strength training. Katherine helped me set goals that are challenging but attainable with her help. I have since regained my identity as an athlete and as a physically strong woman. I have learned so much about how to challenge myself, but I continue to work with Katherine because of her support and encouragement. I recommend Katherine with enthusiasm to my family and friends. She is the best!

Katherine changed me and my life! She helped me find my fitness. She made me believe in myself. I learned the science of food and nutrition and the value of exercise, weight training and rest. I lost 45lbs., gained my self respect and confidence again. I love who iam again! I am a different person. ... the person I always wanted to be. She is compassionate and understanding, but tough. She never gave up on me and didn't let me give up. She is my trainer forever.

Working with Katherine has changed my life. As an older woman (late 50s), I am stronger and more confidant in my physical capabilities than I ever have been. Using strength and conditioning training plus diet coaching, I have lost 23 lbs, can do almost a full squat w weight, and I completed my first ever backpacking trip. Check these off the bucket list. She is personally engaging, lively and fun, and totally focused on her client in the moment. She pushes with humor, and recognizes when I'm at my limit. Can't say enough about Katherine as my trainer.
