- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always reading up on the latest nutritional information. I also read cookbooks like novels and looking for new recipes to add to my repotoire. I like to keep it fresh for my clients and stay on trend, but also keep the classics.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a passion for cooking and nutrition. My friends and family convinced me that I should become a chef after doing a lot of entertaining. When my son was little, I decided to become a personal chef, doing what I loved, having the flexibility that being self employed brings, so that I could be a mom and have a career. Having worked as a chef and caterer in the past, I felt it was the right fit for me.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I generally do people's weekly meals. But, I also do in-home catering, such as dinner parties, baby showers, bridal showers, etc.
