FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
After over twenty years the most common type of work we have done is refinishing furniture. Most clients have wanted the furniture stained to match a color they have selected or to match to other furniture in their home. Many times clients will see the furniture with the stain removed and will decide to stain the furniture with a clear stain because of the beauty of the wood. This happens frequently with walnut.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently refinished a large vintage walnut office desk. The desk came from a family that we have worked for since the 1990's. The desk was used by the clients grandfather. Walnut is a wood that is my favorite for its beauty and durability.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If I gave two pieces of advice to a client looking to hire a furniture refinisher I would start by saying the representative of the company should be cordial and responsive to your questions. In most cases a client has furniture that is important to them and will also be an investment. If an individual contacts our business we owe them the respect they deserve. Secondly, I would ask where I could see examples of their work. A website is the easiest way to view work but also books of photos or actual work completed will display work. Furniture refinishing can only be done correctly when the client and refinisher work together.
