Introduction: Hi, this is Trevor Giuliani from Portland Music Co-op! We offer 1/2 hour lessons for $30, and a full hour at $50. I specialize in modern, folk and electric guitar playing. I also love to teach voice lessons, piano/keys, drums/percussion, bass, and saxaphone. Over 25 years experience playing, and 10 as a teacher. My studies are informed by many styles, including jazz, rock, classical, progressive, folk, country, blues, punk, and experimental. Latin music is a favorite of mine, and I have yet to foray into deep waters with flamenco, however, I have played raga blues from the psychedelic '60s acoustic guitar masters up to today including John Fahey, Robbie Basho, Peter Walker, Leo Kottke, Sun City Girls, and James Blackshaw. I am adept finger-style player as well as picker and rock guitar player. I saw Peter Walker do a flamenco set once in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn in 2005. It was incredible. My focus as a teacher is working scales and chords rigorously to give you the skills and technique. Students also bring in 2-4 songs or pieces that I will help you learn per month, and have the option of performing in our seasonal student concerts. I can learn any music by ear and teach it to you, write it out in notation etc. Please get in touch to hopefully get on my schedule.
