Jesse, Really personalized my lesson plan and worked hard to show me that he would help me fulfill my guitar goals.Jan 26, 2020Verified
I’ve already told all of my friends about lessons with Jesse so it was my pleasure to write a review for him here. There’s so much I could say but basically if you just do that first session and you’ll get the picture. Skype makes everything easy, i wouldn’t go back to any other format. There are not a lot of guitar teachers let alone teachers of any kind like Jesse. I showed up two years ago wanting to learn guitar and now I feel like I’ve actually become a musician. It’s better than I ever could have expected and I feel like we are just getting started. Looking forward to meeting any of you in the group class if you come aboard!Aug 23, 2019Verified
We feel so lucky to have found Jesse! Our daughter has tried to pick up the guitar several times, with varying success. Over the years she had a few different teachers and played in the school program, but after a few months of lessons with Jesse we all knew we’d be sticking around for the long run. It seems like the teachers that really know there stuff don’t always know how to connect with kids, whereas the ones that are good with kids seem like sometimes the music education is secondary. Jesse does the best of both worlds and we couldn’t be happier! Thanks JesseAug 19, 2019Verified
A few of my work buddies take lessons with Jesse now. It’s been a blast and now we get to shoot the breeze about guitar, good times all around. Jesses a great teacher and the whole process has been fun and efficient. I’d recommend him to anyoneAug 23, 2019Verified
This was my first guitar lesson ever, and I was pretty nervous because I didn’t have success with piano as a kid. Jesse was super patient talking through the first part of the lesson with me though, and those memories of my mean piano teacher faded away. It was actually really fun and exactly what I was hoping for. I know I’m not going to be a professional guitarist or anything but after my session with Jesse I feel confidant that I can learn to strum a few of my favorite songs, which is really the whole point for me.Aug 5, 2019VerifiedOnline Guitar Lessons with Jesse Marseille's reply
Thanks for the review Deena, you were picking everything up in no time :) Just keep having fun with it! See ya next time
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I bill on a monthly basis for lessons. Most students opt for one 45min lesson per week.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first step is to schedule a free introductory session so that we can discuss working together before making the commitment for a month of lessons. During that introductory session, I generally cover fundamentals of guitar technique. We will review correct posture, how to hold the instrument, and proper positioning of the wrists and fingers to build a relaxed and efficient guitar technique. After playing a bit of guitar, we'll discuss more details about your goals and how I can best support them. We'll draw up a hypothetical course of study that will show you what to expect from a three month timeframe. Assuming that it is the right fit, we will then find a consistent weekly time that works for us mutually. At that point you will settle your first invoice and officially be on board as a student! Then the exciting part truly begins :)
